18km, 3 hours, 40 mins. Outhgill church, Slough Brae Gill then Healey's Gill to summit. Then Gregory Chapel & became slightly lost on Arch Styrgg in thick cloud before finding cairns and on to Hugh Seat, Little Fell and Sails. Down to Hell Gill where I was mobbed by a short-eared owl then down bridleway back. Lots of lapwings + curlews.John Eley13/05/2023
Parked in layby near bridge by Shaw Paddock Farm. Via ROWs made way up to the riuns at High Hall, then set off up open hillside towards Sails. Detoured to take in the source of the Ure, going quite hard work over tussock and semi-frozen bog. From Sails the going was pretty easy over Little Fell, Hugh Seat and Archy Styrigg. Cold but entirely clear, beautiful winter's day. Descended SWabove Hangingstone Scar and The Rigg before meetijng the High Way again and back to the farm. First 2000 ft summit in wellies!Rockdoctor02/01/2023

10 Mile walk from parking space at the Thrang, followed Pennine Bridleway past the sculpture and along to Hell Gill Beck, followed tracks up and across boggy land to Ure Head (Sails) cairn, then up onto Lunds Fell, and across boggy col up to Hugh Seat (the last mountain in the Dales we needed), then along to Gregory Chapel and High Seat we had previously walked in 2011, then descended steeply west down edge at Sloe Brae Gill to Outhgill and back along river to the Thrang. Perfect walking weather, high cloud and a breeze.DanTrig27/08/2016
