After Baugh Fell in the morning. Swarth Fell and Wild Boar Fell. from bridge over railway east of Swarth Fell summit. track from here takes you across left to wall, followed this up to point where it turned south then straight up rto ridge just south of Swarth Fell summit then north along ridge to Wild Boar Fell, an odd line of cairns before you get there. A very impressive summit shelter. North to Bridle Way, then back along road to start. Might have been better to double bacvk tyo Swarth Fell Tarn using walls as guide down to start point. A good walk.dickscroop22/06/2022
Nuttall walk 11.2: Wild Boar Fell, Wild Boar Fell East Top, Swarth Fell, Swarth Fell Pike, Baugh Fell (Tarn Rigg Hill) , Knoutberry Haw. Very hard, often pathless walk on a beautiful March day. Parked on the raod, car surrounded by fell ponies.Lazylizzie26/03/2022

14 degrees, dark cloud, westerlies, from bridge to east after early dart. Easier and less wet ascent than expected. Feeling Autumnal, enjoyed walking along the edge to the summit, surrounded by big, bluff fells. Feels satisfyingly separate from Wild Boar Fell. On to Swarth Fell Pike.Wycombe Wanderer04/09/2020

From Smithy Gill Bridge, first in a circular walk over Wild Boar Fell, High Seat and Little Fell. Good track up from SGB towards Flue Scarth Nick, where I heard, and saw, a pair of grouse, unseen by the Nuttalls on these fells (p236). If the fraction of the thousands of rowan saplings which are thriving survive, the scenery will look very different soon.Peter_W_Mitchell 27/05/2020

From Garsdale station. Easy plod from the pike. Glorious sunshine and cooling breeze, perfect walking conditions. Worth a short detour to the escarpment over Mallerstang. Later in the day I traversed under the fell and crossed Holmes Moss Hill en-route to Baugh Fell - this crossing has the juciest bogs I've ever encountered!Jake99431/05/2017
