Having previously done Randygill from Yarlside and Green Bell I thought I'd try something different. Having come over Langdale Knotts, West Fell and Hazelgill Knott we descended to valley and went up the southwest ridge up a good but relentlessly steep path. Parked just off the road at Grid 699041.Followed a path South over Stwarth and onto Green Bell, From there to Randygill Top. Then to Kensgriff, back to Grid 692004 and contoured around the head of the valley and then carried on over Hooksey, continue back to Grid to 687037, pick up the minor road and follow this back to the start.smocks and denims04/01/2022

18 miles 4906ft walk, start at Cross Hall Farm Caravan Park Cautley, Take A Pennine Journey Path to Cautley Spout Tongue, up Bowderdale Head to the bottom of Randygill and climb to Summit, back down to Bowderdale and follow briddleway to the summit of The Calf, head west to Bush Howe, Fell Head and Linghaw, return to The Calf Summit then head south on the Dales High Way to Calders,head east to Great Dummacks then follow ridge down to Crook Holme and back to Cautley.stephenbuda09/09/2020
