Parked opposite the Station Inn at Ribblehead and chose the more direct ascent passing near Winterscales Farm. Snow on the ground and poor visibility. Descent by ridge SSW all the way to Ingleton via the waterfall trail.Vulcan02/03/2024
Asscent from Dent - followed Dales Way then ascend flank by tarns - weather fair until 50m from summit when cloud blew in - wet underfoot after previous nights rain - reversed route to return. Solo with Max - passes through a Grouse pretectioon area so Max on lead a lot of the timeJimMayes18/02/2024

Arrived at Philpin campsite in early evening and after a quick check in, enjoyed a straight forward jaunt up to the summit! Enjoyed sitting back at the campsite later with a cuppa, listening to the Curlews overhead and enjoying the view towards Whernside. Highly recommend this campsite as a base location to explore the 3 peaks from.Gerry the Ranger18/05/2023
Stayed at the Ashes B&B just south of Ribblehead so walked from our base, round in an anticlockwise route. Skirted round the shoulder of Park Fell and walked up to the summit against a tide of people doing the Three Peaks challenge. Stopped in Ribblehead for an early pint and meal by which time the sun was out!pclyndes18/05/2023

The North Yorkshire County Top I did on Day 2 of the brutal 9 day trip of the final 5 county tops in England left. The Summit is actually not by the trig and very close to the cliff face, as the county border between Cumbria and North Yorkshire is on the eastern side of the stone fence. A very technical county top while going up the Eastern face of Whernside and down a very loose scree next to a waterfall later on during the walk back too the car.DavidHiner26/08/2022
