On the last day of a New Year week in Yorkshire. Another murky, windy & misty day with Shaky & Smithy. Started from Kidhow Gate. Walked along Pennine Way & as per Ashley's description, spotted the cairn a little way up the hillside. Just beyond that cairn, a faint path leads more or less directly to the trig point which today was surrounded by a moat. Retreated by the same route before the rain properly set in & headed off to the Tan Hill Inn for beer & medals...NotReallyABagger02/01/2020

From high point on road to SE, space for car near wall gap.. Followed wall then broke off up easy slopes to summit trig. Evening run, remarkably dry. Anyone else seen a strange plaque on a rock half way up saying Crossword Puzzle?N.Morters09/04/2018
The road to the East was blocked by snow, so a longer walk than planned. Thick fog made it a near whiteout on top - a real test of navigation. After missing the summit the first time, managed to relocate and eventually tick it off.huwthomas18/02/2018

In atrocious weather from Hawes with FRBheinn11/10/2017
A nice easy stroll along the Pennine Bridleway from Newby Head, followed by considerable athleticism wriggling between the wall and the wire fence above it to get out onto the hill. A soggy wet thrutch up deep vegetables to the top, but found a motorbike track down (yes really, hard as it is to understand this), which avoided the walls. Back the same way.Gill30/06/2017
From the widening of the Cam High Road by the second cattle grid from Hawes. Less boggy than its reputation.Nick Down130/05/2017
