8th ascent. Aged P’s 80th birthday outing. Up and down path from Rhyd-ddu. Snow above about 2000 feet and an icy wind from the NE. Nice walk along Bwlch Main. Also with M and X. Bank holiday weekend and so an absolute log jam at the top. Aged P had a couple of falls on the way down and was clearly exhausted but kept going without fuss.Herbert Anchovy04/05/2019

New Year's Day walk with L. Parked beyond Pen Y Gwyrd, hitched lift to Pen Y Pass. Up Pyg, down Miners. Approx 3 hours up, 2 hours 30 down - about 5 hours 45 total including brief stop at summit and short lunch stop on way down. Hitched lift in Pen Y Pass car park back to the car.
