From Oldmeldrum on community path over the fort, through woods and then over a fence by a gate into the summit field. Good time to do it as all crops lifted. | sarahk | 04/12/2023 |
Parked in the Kirkton of Bourtie kirk CP and took path opposite past the old school house and manse towards Hill of Barra fort. When the second stile was reached I went over the adjacent field gate and along a line of beech trees to N of the summit. A simple fence hop into the summit field but didn't hang around as potatoes were being lifted by the farmer. | summitter | 02/10/2023 |
From the small Kirk car park in Kirkton of Bourtie. Walked up to main road and along community path past manse along edge of fields to line of beech trees that lead up to high point in fields. | Jossker | 07/01/2023 |
From church followed community path but stymied by double barbed wire fences. Back to road to end of field and up to the flat top. | chrisbien | 20/11/2021 |
Walk over the hill towards Old Meldrum. | Pilotralph | 19/12/2020 |
A gentle walk from The Kirkton of Bourtie initially on the Community Path, passing The Old Manse where lives Christine - a keen runner, and more importantly the possessor of jump leads who was to help start my car a short while later. | Chris Pearson | 05/03/2020 |
From the S | Gonk | 21/01/2020 |
From the S initially on community path then along line of ancient beech trees. Not a lot of difference in height between field edge and field. | RichardM | 17/12/2019 |
First of a two Tump cycle from The Cabin E.C., so no parking problems. Signposted for community walk, to hill fort on lower, more distant summit. Massive, and superfluous stile en-route. Very pleasant area. | Minto | 21/04/2019 |
Gentle walk up grassy field from SE... Great views west to Benachie and well beyond. | vegibagger | 12/06/2018 |
