From Burnside Hall, Balmullo, core paths through village & Coffin Road to pathed summit of Lucklaw Hill. Descent W through beautiful gorse, past Brighouse & House in the Hollow (fab name) to Logie. Up tracks & across a field to a small, pretty lochan for lunch. Up fields and all open gates to Forret Hill & it's small cairn. Descent to track W of quarry. Craigsanquhar climbed easily from path to South. Minor road to N of Craigfoodie Hill. Headed S through gate 150m W of Quarry & across easy fields to stone wall with gate against it. Used this to climb over, then pleasant ascent through gorse to old wall summit. Went on to Craiglug. Unfortunately many have climbed where the wall is collapsing. But there is a fab stone stile at West end of wall near cliff & beside a small wooden gate. Back to road via same route. On to Airdit Hill, climbed after Set Hill (pretty crag) from field edge to ENE. Good paths. Return to Balmullo via Willie's Wood. 19km of beautiful views & no cattle in fields | Lynnebe | 19/04/2023 |

Weather fair. | MountainMac | 26/03/2022 |
Lovely clear wintry morning. With Lindsay, following the usual route from the N, before continuing to Craiglug over it's high wall. As others have mentioned, this barrier is equipped with stone footholds and handholds, which was quite fitting as Craiglug was the venue for my first rock climb many moons ago... | Rod M | 28/11/2021 |
Parked just off the road to the NNE, at an entrance to the disused quarry. Followed a tractor trail to a gate, then around the edge of a newly ploughed field to a large stone wall. Once over it was a straightforward climb up grazed grass to the summit, then over a second wall to take in Craiglug for good measure. Reversed the route back. | summitter | 24/10/2021 |
With Brian. Windy and cold. | Play2End | 04/04/2021 |
From Dairsie School along tracks, then over, around and under countless walls and fences to Craiglug and on to Craigfoodie Hill, descending back to Dairise School. On a loop walked from home. With JAS. | kdbennett | 28/03/2021 |
From Dairsie with a friend who lives in the village.
She took me up the WRONG HILL !!!! Only noticed it when I tried to work out where Craiglug was as I wanted to visit that as well. Couldn't see a hill where the map said Craiglug should be - because I was standing on it!!!!!
Fortunately there are stone steps over the wall at NO 40450 18387 which enabled us to reach the intended hill. Interesting descent through gorse and stuff then across to Foodie Hill for a repeat visit. | Fife Walking | 14/03/2021 |
8th hill of 15. From the N. | The Fife Flyer | 14/03/2021 |
From Dairsie. Took in Craiglug. | russell61 | 08/11/2019 |
Parked on good hardstanding to N and across fields and imposing walls. The S (alternative )one has very dodgy steps, very small for my size 12 feet. Visited both summits and it is a good viewpoint | Thearlaichdubh | 24/10/2019 |
From Airdit, walked through woods then through fields then up hill. Returned same way. | 187lenny | 08/07/2019 |
From the north, several gates and two walls. Wall steps and holds good, but steps covered in treacherous ice, thanks to other contributors for ensuring that I brought my kahtoolas. | Topographer57 | 06/02/2018 |
Good parking on road to north, then over hard frozen fields to the twin tops | Colin Crawford | 28/12/2017 |
From Dairsie school. Through fields to gate in high wall. Top is on the line of an old wall which barely remains. | chrisbien | 09/09/2017 |
P Dairsie by school. Road then track then along edge of field and up to Craiglug left CH to another day as under severe time pressure to get back for Easter dinner with the family. | chrisbien | 16/04/2017 |
parked minor road to the north near track entrance over wall and up to top, visited both tops. | robertphillips | 22/03/2017 |
Also parked just off the minor road to the N. The dyke scramble (grade 1) really makes this hill interesting. | Play2End | 09/05/2015 |
Another first un-logged hiil. From NNE, roadside parking. Followed field edges SW & S. First wall has a gap. 2nd wall requires climbing. Steep up to summit of Craigfoodie Hill. Also visited same height Craiglug to the S. DF | Minto | 15/02/2015 |
