Auchencairn height, auchengeith hill, clauchrie hill from track entrance at 9209 9085 | robertphillips | 22/04/2021 |
From Auchencairn Height. Good forest road to NX 9310 8986, after which easy clear fell to negotiate, across narrow stream and up through well-spaced mature conifers. Return to Auchencairn Farm interesting negotiating steep rough breaks to meet a wide brand new forest road at NX 9218 8998, whence signed FP back to the car. A surprisingly pleasant 6km round for these 2 awkward hills. | jonglew | 23/01/2021 |
Parking on at start of track to Clauchrie. Forest road almost to the top. Pretty flat area. | chrisbien | 30/03/2018 |
From westerly direction via Clauchrie farm along forest trails. Summit in mature trees. Easy access on logging route created during thinning operstions | cjo | 20/05/2017 |
Done after Shield Hill, finding fairly easy ways up through the trees. Summit area all mature trees so not hard to locate high point, which seemed to be in a logging track close to a fallen tree, | Colin Crawford | 20/01/2016 |
