Parked by cattle grid ~350m down track to Wooplaw farm. Good track to the farm then the fun starts. Deer fence first then steeply down over bad ground and through dead bracken and new conifer plantings. Across a Knocks Burn in spate! Another deer fence, then steeply up... there must be a better way, but not a shorter one. Picked up Knock Hills on the return. | jonglew | 18/11/2022 |
Up from A68 mostly on farm track | Andrew Simmons | 17/02/2021 |
From Knockhills, down E side of hill, a mistake at this time of year: steep, head-high bracken, no path. Then steep front of Hophills, more bracken. Yellow disk seen from a distance seems to be a target for rifle shooting. Flat cairn a few metres from summit was adorned with holly and pine cones - a memorial perhaps? | Aye Jimmy | 25/07/2018 |
