As per davidpettit84. Room for 1 maybe two cars at NS150924 on opposite side to path. A nice easy approach through the forest leading to a quick ascent of Sligrachan Hill. Then a fairly good path all the way to the summit.garyhoney01/09/2023
Up the forestry track on the south side of Stronchullin Burn, then small track to the ridge. Picked along various bogs and sheep tracks to the top.Tisteln20/06/2023
4 of 4: From Sligrachan Hill which we descended on the east side. This was almost a scramble. Looking back the west side would have been easier. With Karen.ChrisR07/06/2023
From the north as I didn't really fancy the slog up from Inverchapel. Tracks to edge of forest then intermittent ATV track towards Sligrachan Hill. Surprisingly well-walked paths along the attractive ridge from there to Beinn Ruadh. Highly recommended!davidpettit8410/04/2023
Second visit, en route to Stronchullin Hill. Rough but tolerable ascent from InverchapelColin Crawford07/04/2023
From Inverchapel car park. Up south side of Inverchapel burn to where it divides then NW over South Top and on to trig and summit.MichaelF30/03/2023
Invercahel car park, over the footbridge and steep path to gate before viewpoint. From the gate directly uphill, steeply, over a fence, and then easier. In cloud. Solo.bolton17/03/2023
Beinn Ruadh and tops from Whistlefield road. 3 of 5thekirkie pirate14/02/2023
From Inverchapel. Walked west of South top, from which point the c1km to summit looked miles away! Took 2hr15mins to get to top.willyross07/12/2022
From Inverchapel parking (NS144965), across footbridge and along track to right, continuing to a wicket gate before the viewpoint, then directly up steep slopes to the ridge S of the South Top, then N over South Top to Beinn Ruadh summit, returning same way (3h15m)kdbennett10/07/2022
Pleasant walk up from the S.Top (620m). The route up from Inverchapel was fairly easy. I expect it would be a nightmare once the bracken has grown back. Not a route for the summer!Dangerous Dave08/04/2022
With my missus. From Inverchapel, steep and tick ridden lower slopes.Nick Canute23/03/2022
From Gairletter along the track through felled forest to where a left turn after the waterfalls follows a track to a locked gate. Up over that round a bend in line with pylons. Where track ends we ascended to Stronchullin Hill first then headed over tussocky ground to summit. Found an ATV track on the return which was saturated and boggy in places, so best to return the way you came and find the main track again near the pylons, and return to Gairletter on the main trackWayne Mac15/10/2021
Parked in a lay-by by Loch Long, near the start of the track to Gairletter, at NS 19119 84188. Followed Gill Stephens' route up the glen to the start of the steep hill track at NS 16306 85825. Crossed the marshy bealach between Stronchullin Hill and Beinn Ruadh, then up the SE flank in mist, over minor tops, to the trig and highest point on Beinn Ruadh. Returned much the same way, although I used the higher forest road for the descent. 15.0km, with 720m of ascent. Solo.Man of Kernow123/08/2021
From Inverchapel car park over footbridge on path to view point, NE up steep slopes to ridge, then N to trig point and summit. Return by same route. (Looks as if bracken might to be a problem later in the year).Winterfloodian19/05/2021
There's a blissfully easy way up this hill if you don't mind a bit of extra walking. Start at the track leading to Gairletter, past a hole in the ground, which has a useful shortcut track to the house. Forestry road above, then right fork on a pleasant older track running just above the river. Rejoin the logging road and at a bend, you see a rougher track heading up towards the pylons above, alongside a stream. Bridge over stream, then up and over a gate, then follow the track rightwards across 2 small fords then following the pylons up the hill. This becomes an ATV track near the bealach, best to follow it slightly up the hill next to a rushy stream. The alternative track across the stream is very mucky later on, straight through nasty bogs, whereas the higher track is good. Across the bealach to the SE ridge, then well spaced fence posts and bits of ATV track guide you easily up the hill. Frozen bogs and friendly snow made it a nice walk. Approx.14km and 670m of up but very easy.Gill07/12/2020

Sligrachan Hill and Beinn Ruadh from minor road to N. Good forest tracks to reach open hillside and ATV track most pof the way to the summit of Sligrachan Hill. Pleasant walk along ridge to Beinn Ruadh, after which there were increasing clearances providing excellent views across Loch Eck. Descent by the same route, bypassing summit of Sligrachan Hill to the W.RobertP24/02/2019
Walked up from Inverchapel CP as per SMC Guide. Simple route but very steep at times. Only day of the week without super views. Good lunch in Garden Café afterwards.IanHHill15/05/2018
From Inverchapel CP, bridge over the stream, right then left up stepped path to open hillside. After that the best route is unclear but all routes are steep.Topographer5724/02/2018

Didn't find best route up, much thrashing through bracken to gain ridge. Returned rather closer to Inverchapel burn high up but still I am sure not the best.dickscroop10/10/2015

From Inverchapel. A very slow and nasty thrash through 8' tall dense bracken for 3 hours and return by Puck's Glen. There must be an easier way! 9 1/4 hrs.arranc27/06/2014

From Inverchapel Forestry Carpark. Followed Red banded poles till second gate then straight up. Steep but easy underfoot walking onto ridge. Long ascent to S Top then easily to Trig. Came straight down steep bracken and craggy face to white banded poles. Misty and light rain on tops. 2 1/2 hoursalexmaclennan22/09/2013

With D Roeder. Fr car at Inverchapel (9:15) followed red trail anticlockwise to top & steeply up through bracken and old trees to open slopes & broad summit ridge. Back same route; car 12:50. Fine; showers over Arrocahr Alps to Ndbb08/10/2012
Bus terminus in Glen Finart to Benmore Gardens via top of Pucks Glen. Maped path between ridge and tree line not evident on the ground - Much bracken bashing!Smudge04/08/2012

Trig revisit. From WSW, layby at NS143882: first 250m tough (deer track - a bit obscure, N bank of burn) then straightforward nice grassy climb, a little brashy at first. Greyish start to the day, a little drizzle.RHW09/05/2010

On the KIMM 99 with Darren doing A Class. Rare to actually go to a summit -normally skirting and contouring to save height / time. A tough year with course too long admitted by planner in retrospect. we were out for ages.Friend Rob retired on day 1 and checked into a remote hotel with his credit cardChris Pearson30/10/1999
