Last hill of the day so we drove up as advised and had a chat with Sarah at the farm, she is indeed very lovely and let us park at the farm and head up the hill. She is a very friendly kind lady and definitely appreciates us all asking. She remembered meeting Gerry just before Christmas. Ian had his RHS hat on so we hope that did our club proud! It's the lowest of hills but cracking view on a rain/sunshine afternoon. Then drove down for a look at Sunderland Point but too concerned about high tides at the moment to go right out (tide was extremely high last night apparently and there was debris on the tidal road. Not for me that!) Nice pub called the Globe right at the end in Overton if you are ever there - I digress.nickywood111/02/2024
Parked in wide entrance to farm & E. along lane to farmhouse - Friendly greeting & permission granted. Farmer appreciative of being asked & wished me a 'Merry Christmas'. Accessed the summit field from the S. & opted for the two single gates rather than the old locked & wired double gatesgerrybowes19/12/2023
Parked in Overton and walked back up the road. Didn't feel the need to go any further than the farm gate on the road - clear view of the nearby summit from there.justin_j_evans05/05/2023
Parked at the top of the farm road and called at the first house down the lane. Was given cheerful permission by Sarah to visit the summit. It is worthwhile mentioning that Sarah is delightful and no one should upset her by summitting without asking her first.moorsman21/04/2023
After 1st supply day at nearby Beaumont FE College. Beautiful autumn sunny day for fine views over the marshes from Ingleborough to The Lakeland fells. Friendly lady at the farm still readily giving permission. The farm's caravan park marked on Geograph ceased 40 years ago! Combined with a trip to the Overton Hall trig (a p20) and with the tides being right a daring drive across the 2 km tidal road over the winding muddy channels and creeks to Sunderland Point. Parked in the only spot disconcertingly below the marked high water line for a quick skedaddle to visit Sambo's Grave (a legacy of the immoral slave trade for which Lancaster and its Lune estuary are tainted -with ships once being offloaded here when the tide was against them). A nice surprise was finding the horizon chamber - a place of reflection- especially when you smash your head on the low lintel despite the large warning notice against this design flaw. Regained consciousness long enough to escape back across the marshChris Pearson18/10/2022

Asked permission at Colloway farm, as recommended. Permission readily granted but owner stressed that she liked to be asked as it's courteous. HP in domed grassy sheep filed with nice marshland views. Parked at west end of farm track.Denise 23/11/2019
Permission to visit readily given by welcoming lady at Colloway Farm. Field gate from farm drive and up beside boundary hedge to summit area. Hay waiting to be cut. Very fine views include the Lakeland Fells to the N.RichardM23/08/2019
Delightful lady at Colloway Farm readily gave me permission with a smile. She does appreciate being asked and does not care for people just wandering across the field. She advised that I could park in farm lane next to the cattle grid.Campbell Singer03/11/2018

Parked by mast, got permission at Colloway Farm: 'I've been here 40-odd years and no-one's ever asked before' - farm lady. So seven previous loggers must have trespassed!Aye Jimmy24/12/2014
