The high walls near the summit are all very easy to get over, so the exact route you take isn't too relevant. | Matt | 25/07/2023 |
Parking on layby, walked down road to PROW, along PROW a gate on right gives access to field and followed track along wall to top | matty1971b | 29/04/2023 |
Parking on layby just to the west then over fence from the south. | Alan Caine | 14/02/2023 |
Billy Hill from GR: NZ 15247 38143. The field west side of the wall now has a triple bared wire fence from the road. The summit (confirmed by Lidar) is actually the EAST side of the wall, the 1:25k paper mapping contours are incorrect and OS Maps online contours have a different shape and include the summit position east of the wall. An easier bag would be to take the gate into the summit field at NZ 16036 38101 on Wolsingham Road. | ronaldo333 | 18/12/2022 |

66km cycle ride from home to visit 7 of East Durham's esoteric hill tops. Great way to bag hills.
Parked bike over wooden fence and followed stone wall on east side to crest of field. Higher ground appears to be on west side of wall. Waited for two tractors ploughing field to turn down hill before climbing over wall and walking a few meters west to high point. | John Lee | 10/10/2017 |
