Parked in Batworth Road, along the path through a bit of woodland emerging at a football pitch. HP is on a small bank on the far side in a brambly bit.clivevilla08/11/2023
From Sheffield centre.welshyboyo26/04/2023
Walked up from Vale Road through the overgrown remains of the old ski slope - so did at least seem like a bit of hill. Good views if somewhat urban. Wondered around along vague ridge to see if any point seemed higher than others.steveb200601/11/2022

Looking down on Hillsborough and I can hear the roar of the fans in the match... Wednesday v Luton FaCup 3rd round going on at the moment.vegibagger05/01/2019
1st of the day on cycle from Sheffield. Public access to Parkwood Springs Open Space. Summit area has a path with natural sandstone flags breaking through, very sad looking viewing platform and foundations of anti-aircraft gun emplacement(?). Essentially level between platform and foundations. Fine views with buildings of Sheffield being lit by the first rays of the morning sun. Pair of Bull Tits an unexpected delight.RichardM30/11/2018
Visited whilst family were shopping in Meadowhall. Followed the path at the side of the River Don then up through Burnside to path to the S then up past the remnants of the artificial ski slope to the top.Wheelsy31/10/2018

Parked in Shirecliffe Road. Gentle walk up to football pitches and fine viewpoint framed with unusual structure.Campbell Singer13/11/2017
Parked on the road to the SE opposite the Parkwood Springs notice board. A myriad of paths lead upwards to the summit which appears to be 100m north of the mast. Definitely higher than the old concreted area to the south.moorsman19/09/2017
Parked in car park at southern end of Shirecliffe Road.Up through short area of wood and over large mown grassy area to what we took to be the top at the northern end of the ridge.Good views over Sheffield. With Oscar and Bridget.catman20/08/2017

dropped wife off tp wander around Meadowhall so I took myself for a wander around these two hills.joseph mitchell12/07/2017
My 1st Hill !!! and I got lost the landfill site has taken over a lot of land and the footpath I was following from hillsborough (along the railway) became blocked by a padlocked gate so I had to virtually go back to the start and head up and skirt the landfill tip to the viewpoint great views Sheffields little secret although would recommend entering from rutland road as the footpaths are a lot firmer and less muddy than from Hillsboroughduggs07/02/2017
I skied near here in the early 1990s. Parked on the road then an easy amble up the sloping football pitch.Dugswell205/02/2017
From road to W, across football pitch.RobertP04/12/2016
Short walk up from main road. I'm no footballer but the sloping pitch near the top didn't look too user-friendly!the_adam29/09/2016
Tram from Sheffield train station to Infirmary Road then walked up the B6075 using the same route as Dazingdale. No problems at all other than the pouring rain and still got some fine, if rather grey, views. Returned the same way as I came.Jake99419/08/2016
1st of 6 hills from Sheffield station with Lexi Rue my partner's Labradoodle. We walked through the bus station then walked upto next tram stop, then headed over to the bridge near the climbing centre, taking a road up past Northern General hospital and cutting upto the road (B6075) with direct access to Parkwood springs. There is an information board showing paths and floravand fauna. We took the most direct (central) path up, meeting up with the path that heads upto the summit near the bandstand. Descent was Se to corner of playing field and then east o to minor road and SE to the A6135.Dazingdale12/04/2016
Commanding far views over the urban hills of NW Sheffield glistening in rain showers and sunlight. Summit is adjacent to the grassed over rubbish tip with its pipes allowing gas to escape from the buried decaying rubbish. Tucked out of sight below is the former Sheffield artificial ski slope which was the longest in Europe until a series of fires -one accidental the others not so, have closed it down.Chris Pearson02/08/2015
Walk from Sheffield train station. Also Wincobank & Keppel's Column.ngthack21/04/2015
Main car park closed but easy roadside parking. Across football field and up to topBramley06/03/2015
Cracking views from bandstand over Sheffield, in the snow. On to Wincobank next.DanHolme29/12/2014
Large carpark to E of hill at SK 353.896 was very busy on a Sunday with amateur football matches all over the place. Track through wood led past comms mast to level track along top with a prominent raised platform - bandstand? Good views to W and football field to E. Summit taken as ground opposite bandstand. Or possibly further N along track where open view of football field.Aye Jimmy26/10/2014
