Parked beyond cattle grid as others, crossed road and followed path through farm, where I had a chat with the friendly farmer. Took a couple of pics if the reservoirs and continued along path to gate onto tarmac land that goes around the back of the reservoir and back out onto the main road. As I reached my car, a car pulled up and z chap had a bit of a go about me trespassing, as the lane is on private land and if I had been in the reservoir compound then the police will have been called. I assured him I had not entered the compound and that I had no jntention of ever visiting again. Just be aware.Ben Rinnes17/12/2023

3 of 3 after starting outside the black bull pub in ugthorpe. After dunsley moor. Following network of footpaths finally reached the a171 and followed this for about a mile. Turned into the farm and passed through to reach covered reservoirThe-Z-Man06/11/2022
Parked in road opposite. Interestingly there was ram in the field by the top. We had a bit of a stand off and honour was saved for both parties. Went to top of reservoir too.clivevilla15/09/2022

Odd navigational error . We went and bagged, at a run, Pearson's Rigg -pleasingly my namesake hill 1 km to NW thinking that was the Tump - getting caught in a heavy shower. D without his cag - then sprint back to car to towel off then once rain had passed to come and do the correct reservoir top which we had spied through the rain as looking clearly higher than we were. Nice to climb a rare namesake hill to add to Lake Pearson in New Zealand. Wonder what the popular hill surnames are : Green, Black (and Hill) come to mind.Chris Pearson28/07/2016

Quick jog along footpath from side of the road - had been whale watching from Whitby, on a boat for five hours, so really needed a firm hill to stand on!DanHolme27/08/2014
Seems to be Yorkshire Water's covered water tank and pumping station. Parked on track about 150m to NW of farm. Short walk along track, around back leads to easy access via small gate and steps to top.Aye Jimmy01/06/2014
