7th hill of the day on a 23 mile 'Circuit of Painscastle'. Lots of lambs, had a look at the camp in the trees too. Accessed from the Offa's Dyke path, gates on the S side of the hill to avoid BWF.DanMaisieBex02/05/2021
Dydd Gwyl Ddewi 2019. Ascended along the ODP from the north and then cut to high point west of trees. Then through the forest with the hillfort ramparts to a field with a wrecked van! Great views. Off piste north via field gates to road on the border.Rob Rees01/03/2019
Verge parking alongside access gate to the the western side of the summit field on the road to the north. 5 minutes up and less back.moorsman07/08/2018
Parked to NW and headed diagonally upwards through pasture and very needy sheep who surrounded me noisily. HP could be pasture to W of wooded area. You cannot see both from anywhere. Water tank is at 22815 48586. Went to both to make sure.clivevilla30/01/2018
3rd summit of the day although this could be classed a non-summit! Left rucksack next to gate and special footpath platform provided to minimise the swampy section. Over to plantation, over fence into trees and then out the other side which was higher and highest point appeared to be inside enclosed water tank, this is Further North than currently specified. I have the Gpx file so will investigate that but 331m recorded.Dazingdale18/10/2016
8/3/14 - From NW, by moonlight, pasture W of trees seemed highest point with trees lower. Only later did I check detailed mapping - my 1974 LR148 not quite up to the job! Revisited 1/2/15.RHW01/02/2015
