Followed fence along broad grassy ridge from Laggan Hill. Pretty rough going by Laggan Loch. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 15/10/2023 |
From Girvan. Now a wind farm but walk in was pleasant enough. There is a gate in the top field above the wind farm track across the valley. | mindlessflogger | 20/06/2019 |
Parked car at locked gate NX212936 then walked. Operated ham radio for SOTA on summit. Still counted as a Marilyn until SOTA summits list is revised! | G4OBK (Phil) | 30/06/2018 |

6th tump of the day on a route from Maybole to Girvan in mainly rainy weather, climbing Knockbrake, Craigdow out and back from a track then Kirk Hill, Quarrel Hill, Craighead Hill and Saugh Hill, descending SW to a fence, following it to a jct then climbing direcly up to Troweir and its cairn. Weather improving slightly. Descent westwards, descending into the Doune Burn to explore the waterfall before continuing on to Dow Hill. | Dazingdale | 15/05/2017 |

Parked on Coalpots Road in Girvan (187965) – Crossed road & headed E. up signposted track & path – Climbed over fence & dropped down to cross stream – Headed up to W. ridge – Along ridge to summit cairn. Continued N. across reeds and long grass to Saugh Hill, the twin summit. (PM) Sadly, it lost its status as a Marilyn one week later. | gerrybowes | 17/07/2014 |
This hill is very straight forward in the beginning, you can park on the road just before where the track starts, just head up the track until it runs out, I decided to go down left into the little gorge (electrical fence was off, but be careful) and than back up again to avoid the muddy area ahead, that was good going, short grass, easy elevation. round trip took 2.15 min | tallblond | 31/05/2014 |
Continuation of walk from Laggan Hill. Retraced route to track, then dropped down for boggy crossing of Laggan glen, then up through bracken and pasture to summit - not a recommended route. | Man of Kernow1 | 30/05/2014 |
