Summit actually on the golf course, couldn't be bothered to climb over barbed wire (jeez). Close enough on the paths you're graciously allowed to walk on. | visionset | 27/08/2023 |
Parked at start of footpath on cropwell road and did circular walk round well worn path. In the area for work. Found a gap in the fence to get into golf course and high point. Beautiful blue skys and frosty ground makes perfect conditions. 1.2 miles about 25 mins | The-Z-Man | 21/01/2023 |
Parked in Woodland Close to north, up FP to GC and HP. Visited prior to ringing the bells at Radcliffe on Trent. | PGCE | 03/03/2022 |
Difficult to find parking in the estate, especially in late afternoon when everyone is back home. However, there's space for two cars in Brickyard Lane at SK65670 39487. | Martin R | 20/10/2021 |
Parked to the North in Woodland Close at SK657392. | David Evans | 11/10/2021 |
Footpath from SW. The path doesn't actually go across the golf course and there's dense scrub to get through to access the summit from this direction. To make it easy for you - follow the path to a bench, turn right, follow the path to a fairly obvious gap in the hedge near the end of the netting for the driving range. Easy from there. | Wycombe Wanderer | 23/09/2021 |
Nice views from up here on a clear, sunny day :-) | AJH | 01/09/2021 |
Up steps and across common to golf course. | Bramley | 10/08/2020 |
Harlequin to Radcliffe on Trent. | Smudge | 04/01/2020 |
Sunny Nottinghamshire completion until the next bing gets added. | Dugswell2 | 23/02/2019 |
From woodlands close to north, up FP to GC and HP | PeterD | 07/12/2018 |
Parked in Golf Course car park followed by short walk to top. Permission readily given. | Ramblingpaul | 02/10/2018 |
Cycled from Nottingham. Up-market steps between houses at end of Woodlands Close lead to common and edge of golf course. Not a golfer is sight so easily over to the landscaped grassy mound near red and white pole on the large expanse of level summit. Convenient seat on the common where I enjoyed lunch. | RichardM | 19/03/2018 |
Parked near crossroads to W and took RoW up side of golf course. At highest point hopped through the broken fence and wandered around visiting various possible high points. Still a few golfers about despite the fact it was chucking it down. | Wheelsy | 05/01/2018 |
Parked on Woodland Close. RoW up onto golf course. With Carole Engel. | jonglew | 28/12/2017 |
As the Singers. Too early for golfers. | ngthack | 10/03/2016 |
Up Woodside Rd, turn right along Blakeney Rd and then into Woodland Close. Footpath with steps onto common land at end of Woodland Close. Summit just on edge of golf course across broken fence. | Barbara Singer | 31/01/2016 |
From Woodland Close to north of TuMP, up brand new and excellent steps, straight ahead across common and 50 metres onto golf course. Several points as contenders for hp. Sunday afternoon heavy drizzle. No golfers. | Campbell Singer | 31/01/2016 |
1st of two hills today with Lexi Rue, my 7 Labradoodle. We took a bus into Nottingham, followed by another to Radcliffe upon Trent. We walked up Cropwell road and then took the 1st footpath heading up. We climbed through the wilder vegetation separating the lower and higher footpaths and then i climbed onto the golf course making my way to a mound near a drainage trench. Nowhere looked higher but we continued to the end before heading over to the fence to climb back over where i found the path down to the estate. We then waited for the next Bingham bus and took it. | Dazingdale | 16/11/2015 |
Couldn't find a way out of housing estates to N or W. So drove up to the golf club, parked and walked across course to the summit. Lot of golfers but no-one on the summit side, maybe it was too windy? | Aye Jimmy | 12/05/2015 |
As Adrian. Snaked up housing estate to park in road where steps lead up to the plateau. Lovely orange setting sun at the end of a 9-Tump day. One and a half hours home to finish the 240 mile day. | GordonAdshead | 06/02/2015 |
In the snow, no-one was playing golf, so took advantage of this to leave footpath and stand on every bunker until I was satisfied a high point had been reached. | DanHolme | 27/12/2014 |
Parked on road side, up passage way to no mans land , stright up a track and into golf course. | Adrian | 16/08/2014 |
Mound E side of green, SK 65786 39033, 78g/79s, 33m into golf course. SK 65883 39081 is apparently lower. from NNW, path to open ground; ignore sign and cross golf cse fence for HP | RHW | 11/02/2012 |
