Parked as others in rough layby by minor road to north at SY 37928 96008. A small path leaves the public-right-of-way at the start of the wood and heads up through the wood but this path bypasses the summit area so it has to be left and from then on it's a bit of a struggle getting to the summit through the jumble of fallen trees. We've Abneyed the summit and built a cairn of broken dead branches at the highest point. How long that will last is anybody's guess! But the 'cairn' (highest point) is c4m north of a huge fallen tree trunk at SY 37925 95501.David Gradwell15/05/2018
