Early dusk today due to low cloud and damp drizzle, good time to do this hill really.
As it was late I parked on corner of Cauldham Lane near the 169m spot height and junction of PROW, it would only be fo a few minutes.
Walked a short distance SE, then turned right onto field carefully stepping between crops until reaching tractor tracks.
Followed tracks towards summit until I thought I was over the brow of the hill.
As it turns out I was spot on the summit as currently listed.
Couple of photos, log on peakhunter ten back to van along same route.
Would be difficult if mature crops in field. | mntainman | 15/03/2024 |

Parked SE of road corner in a wide gateway. ROW, then tramlines to summit. | PGCE | 26/02/2021 |
Parked at road corner, first along FP then across field to HP in fast fading light | PeterD | 24/10/2020 |
Parked at the field corner. Field planned with turnips so found tram lines to the domed top. | Campbell Singer | 17/10/2020 |
This time the huge field has been harvested and in the warm breeze it was like a dust bowl. HP determined by Abney but unmarked. Poor trig has been uprooted and lies sadly in undergrowth in northern field edge next to farm storage yard with several lorry containers . Roadside parking. | Denise | 22/08/2020 |
From Cauldham lane (easy parking in Cauldham Close). No crop this visit, over stubble and dry dusty soil to levelish summit area. Also visited the trig pillar now sadly uprooted and laid to rest under Oak tree in N corner of field. | RichardM | 22/08/2020 |

Roadside parking at TR 2467 3847. Took the RoW for approx 80m then straight across an arable field. Trig pillar now been uprooted and moved so tricky to locate a preise HP. | jonglew | 10/11/2018 |

3/3 birthday kentumping, on way back from cheriton hill with only 5 mins to spare before getting in trouble with the Mrs, drove up the bridleway, ran to muddy, uneventful summit. Ran back. All in 3 mins? | tumpawumpa | 24/10/2017 |
Summit not attained as chest height in dense rape. Trig apparently moved to SW corner of field. Would have been easy to access from path if not cropped. | Denise | 22/04/2017 |
Sandling stn - Blackhouse Hill - Summerhouse Hill - Tolsford Hill - Cheriton Hill - Sugarloaf Hill - Swinge Hill - Folkestone station. A strong contender for best Tump walk in Kent? Summerhouse and Sugarloaf are remarkable hills. | Mark Jackson | 04/03/2017 |
Dover to Folkestone. Trig pillar has been removed from the middle of the field (now laying in hedge to N apparently). | Smudge | 17/02/2017 |

From bridleway that starts at TR24486 38636. Went because of Cauldham farm trig and because I was waiting for a local garage to get the parts to repair the brakes on my vehicle, not because it is a wretched Tump. The fact it is nothing more than a near flat ploughed field confirms the general reputation of the P30s | Martin R | 13/08/2013 |
