From car park to NW, a pleasant woodland walk (Willot's Wood Walk) to the summit by wooden bench.gerrybowes29/12/2023
Started on a car park followed a path past a lake and then a cafe which was closed then to a bench at the top. With Dad, Dulcie and Mum.speedyclimber26/12/2022
Also walked across to pt 245m to the south, better summitNick Canute25/06/2022
Lovely area with mixed woodland and impressive old sandstone quarry.Wycombe Wanderer17/10/2021
From the N'most car pk on Hulme La, well made path to bench/HP, track to peer over quarry, then Trig pt by beacon. We walked back the last 10 m or so the other side of the road for the excellent clear views to the W. With brother, Pete.pwheeler25/09/2021
Bagged summit and trig (Old GR) from nearby car park on Hulme Road but made a hasty retreat as a hail storm blew in. Returned later (approx. 16.00) to bag this again and summit by bench further across the hill.briandavies16/02/2020
6 of 15 on 45 mile bike ride. Follolowed footpath trails round to summit bench. Nice areaThe-Z-Man31/12/2019

Orienteered here on many occasions. This time after a disappointing orienteering result, I sought consolation in seeking out this top.JohnW12/05/2019

Interesting hill due to quarrying. Short walk from car park. Walked with Toby.Wheelsy17/04/2019
Short walk from car parkRobertP15/07/2018
Summit close to rim of impressive old quarry -a geological SSSI where rounded pebble beds were laid down during flash floods 200 million years ago. Too loose for rock climbing today but there is a feature referred to on a walkers map to this country park as the Old Man of Hoy - presumably a crumbly tower which would have been worth a look.Chris Pearson06/04/2018
Short stroll from car park to NW.rhalstead11/03/2018
1st of 8 logs today on a 35.08km walk from Longton to Blythe briddge via Cheadle. From Longton through an estate to the B5039 heading SE down St. Mary's road, NE up Nyewood Avenue into a section of rough land taking track onto Harrington Drive then up into Park Hall Country park taking paths before reaching the summit next to the bench. Continuing on to the former summit next to Trig pillar.Dazingdale27/01/2018
Used car park to NW then bagged the trig and beacon before looking into the quarry before bagging the summit bench.Dugswell214/01/2018
Started from Boltongate car park. 15 minute walk to TP. 35 metre ascent.RoguePulsar05/12/2017
From east, carpark and follow tracksMoorponder10/08/2017
From sizeable carpark by visitor centre. Bench atop hill is still there. What should be a really nice family friendly park is spoiled by a significant dog crap problem. Some people...stig_nest29/04/2017
From CP near TP - combined with hospital visiting. Had orienteered here on a number of occasions but I thought I had better make sure of a HP visit.summitsup26/04/2017
As for Clivevilla. Trig and beacon visited 17 April 2012.arranc20/02/2017
Adderley Green to Cellarhead. Didn't realise that HP had been moved until now but relieved that I did investigate this area of the Park as well as the beacon.Smudge05/02/2017
From car park, across road and along path to very easy summit with good views. Forecast: fog. Reality: beautiful sunshine and blue sky.Campbell Singer29/12/2016

Parked in carpark SJ928452 for both Park Hall Hills. (Old GR) just up and across the road by the beacon and for other top I just followed the northerly edge of the country park to the bench. With Julie and Polly the dog.David Evans05/11/2016
Detour on my way home from the day's main walk around Cheadle. Parked at the nearby car park and crossed road to visit trig/beacon and summit with bench.davidpettit8408/10/2016
From Country Park CP then to trig (top is in the ferns) on to new top by bench.clivevilla22/07/2016
An easy stroll, across the road from the car park to the trig & beacon. Then further on to the summit and the bench. Clearly the park warden knew where the true summit was, although the beacon and trig are probably better situated for viewing from afar.Minto29/04/2016
Easy amble from Old GR to this one next to bench.Aye Jimmy12/03/2016
Quick re bag to reclaim Staffordshire. Seat appears to be at highpointRHW18/10/2015
Memorial seat on summit, if you need a rest after walking from the car park.ngthack06/10/2015
Just reallocated 300m E. So had to visit before the heavy rains arrive. Neither point is visible from the other, so not obvious that this is 1m higher than the trig. Good track from car park at top of lane to small grassy knoll with commemorative bench at the top.GordonAdshead05/10/2015
Did this on the same day as the old GR, which in itself was a revisit from the 1990s. Actually quite an interesting park, and you can see right down to Shropshire.DanHolme20/12/2014
