Visited years ago when a kid. Good to pop back andtick this one as it was by historic map research that led to it being included as SIB.Swindon Bagger07/08/2016
From RSPB carpark. River Crouch embankments shown on OS 1:25k map have been breached in several places to form tidal mud flats. Google earth view gives good indication of what it's like now - Grassland Point with its trig bolt and 5m spot height no longer accessible (to walkers). Quite a size to this island, very difficult to determine a HP.jonglew03/07/2016
From W, signs to RSPB car park, path e along seawall crossing conveyor, signpost R to half moon viewpoint which seems to be current hp via new embankments barely lower. From here can follow e bank of a drain (field edge) to the 4m hp (25k map) then back via the 3m arable spot ht (10k map). Works ongoing, maybe it'll be a Tump yet!RHW21/05/2016
