As per others, nice 2km break from driving. Nice hill in relatively new woodland. 30 minsNicky C12/04/2024
On exiting large car park to south, turned right along wide track for about 40m & then left onto gravel path - Headed NW & N. to path junction at SE 52164 07163, sharp right & then 1st left up to high point by wooden bench.gerrybowes11/04/2024
From free car park on the B6422. Wide tracks meander through established meadows and mixed woodland to summit with bench, sundial and view of pointy church spire. High point feels to be on the track.RichardM16/09/2023
On the way to our Lincolnshire Holiday (I know, hillbagging, Lincolnshire ?). A nice coffee break, just following your instincts to find the sundial at the summit area.nickywood102/07/2023

From car park to south west. Pleasant circuit, sundial and bench on summit, nearby a wooden sculpture featuring hare and hawk that local morons have set fire to.Nick Canute26/03/2022
With Jo, after visiting Brodsworth Hall in the morning, from B6422 car park on an overcast, warm afternoon. Good visibility.amblerbob24/08/2021

From south CP. Pleasant break of journey approx. midway between Shrewsbury and Durham.summitsup14/02/2020
Excellent large car park to the south. Cross the barrier and follow the blue waymark posts to the right. This leads up to a junction with a large seat and a totem-pole like carving. I cut straight across the field to the summit beyond the trees, but this involves two easy fences. These can be avoided by keeping on the first track to beyond the trees and then cutting across after themmoorsman21/01/2020
Parked at car park to SSE SE524066.David Evans25/03/2019
Walked from Woodlands, plenty of muddy trails to follow. I roughly circumnavigated the hill clockwise before heading up to the summit and back to Woodlands. Good views over to Pickburn.muzza219/01/2019
From the large car park due south (SE 5241 0662). Good cinder track to SE 5215 0679, whence turned north on a direct roiute to the top, which features a benchseat with a nearby fancy sundial.jonglew31/12/2018

Cycled from Campsall via Adwick le St and found the entrance. A great new facility with lots of cycle tracks including one right to the summit. Afterwards rode to The Ings and Gawk Hill.IanHHill22/12/2017

It doesn't walk like a duck.Martin R28/01/2017
From S. car park. Gentle stroll on good paths. Very pleasant. Popular with families & dog walkers. Like the sundial/topo feature. Originally known as Common Hill, pre-spoil heap. This name still appears on O.S. maps. Fantastic view of Brodsworth Hall across the motorway.Richard Gunn11/12/2016
Nice walk up from car park to Sthe_adam19/11/2016

1st five hills on a long route from Aldwick station to Barnsley with Lexi Rue, my partner's Labradoodle. Very nice reclamation. Many wildflowers noticed en-route. Descended onto minor road leading to Brodsworth hall but had to backtrack as no dogs are allowed on-site.Dazingdale28/05/2016
This is the top of an old colliery spoil heap that has been reclaimed and looks really nice now. Its just a simple stroll when passing.Glenelg11/05/2016

En route from Loch Ness. Pleasant stroll on an old slag heap returned to nature. Probably later than Gordon Adshead.Campbell Singer07/05/2016
Straightforward Tump on site of old mine.Barbara Singer07/05/2016
From car park to south. Popular hill at the moment. I wonder why. Doncaster regained. Why has it been named Brodsworth Bing? I thought bing was a Scottish word for a spoil heap. (Ignore that last comment. Name now changed.)ngthack02/05/2016
From North Car park - pleasant spot on a wet afternoon for Doncaster recompletionBramley28/04/2016
Car park on B6422 to S. Right out of c/pk for 100m then sharp left on higher track. Along this, up side of wood to top track which leads to summit with bench, posts and metal astro-topo thing. Nice spot marred by noise from A1(M).Aye Jimmy05/04/2016
Colliery spoil heap, landscaped with walks, bench at summit. From car park to N. 79m GPS, large 70co on openstreetmap. So about 75m I expect. Col appears to be c.44m at SE 5284 0436 hence possible P30.RHW28/03/2016
