6 of 12 from Stockavullin. | robertphillips | 26/02/2024 |
Via Slockavullin, along with Barr Chrom and the 2 Creag a' Bhanan tops. | DavieRuts | 30/05/2021 |
No 3 of round of 11 hills from Slockavullin, taking a bit over 6 hours over pretty rough ground. Deer tracks helped though a lot of the bracken. Cracking views over to Jura, Scarba and Mull. Tormented by flies. | sclater | 12/07/2020 |
5th top of 16 on a 27.6km circuit from Kilmartin, climbing Creag Madaidh Mor, Garbh Shron, Creag a' Bhanan NE top and Creag a' Bhanan. Good progress so far; very attractive knolly territory. I headed SE to reach Outcrop, recording 208m @ NR 80142 98874. Continuation Se then Ese over Dun heading for Barr Chrom... | Dazingdale | 13/05/2019 |
After Bàrr Chrom. WNW over very rough ground past dùintean and other lumps and up south-west ridge. Occasional footpaths, perhaps used by archaeological visitors. Sunshine back, and wide if hazy views out to sea. Location of Corryvreckan whirlpool between Jura and Scarba visible through different appearance of water. Down and eastwards to pass to north of Bàrr Chrom and back to Slockavullin, then by road and track past ancient cairns to Kilmartin for bus to Oban. | mainnirnamfiadh | 08/02/2017 |
