From South Crest Manor Hotel... why not... short walk to surgery.N.Morters20/09/2022
A very ordinary roadside highpoint for flagship Redditch - a model 1960s New Town for Birmingham's overspill - all the main roads (mostly new dual carriageways as well as a ring road for the town centre) were banked to reduce noise to the new housing estates (hence the sunken A448 below the summit road bridge) , and the whole of Redditch was landscaped. It has England's only cloverleaf interchange - to keep cars flowing quickly but plagued with weaving where those joining do so immediately before those leaving. Jasper Carrot used to joke about being stuck endlessly on the Redditch ring road. The town was once famous as the world centre of needle making (The needle museum anyone?) and nowadays for its leisure centre which is heated from waste heat from the crematorium (why not?) although I bet Jasper had something to say about that? King Charles II almost bagged this summit in 1651 if the route of the nearby Monarchs Way LDP is to be believed - but he had other things on his mind.Chris Pearson13/12/2021

Parked up and had a wander around. Another bag in the dark.PGCE26/12/2020
Had a look at the covered resr gates at SP 0366 6628, not possible to compare by eye with the surgery car park, but GPS onlyg ave 162m. After stopping briefly in the surgery car park, had a look at the large water tower 250m to the SE, the gates giving 162m again.jonglew16/12/2020
Short walk from car park at crossroadsBramley09/03/2020
Another drive over but got out wandered to candidate HPs; parking for houses opp church, where there's a broken down fence, seem a good match for the natural HP GR but I think the general vicinity has to count. I'd like to say it was on my drive from Warley to Warwick as my excuse for bagging this T; almost as delightful as the leisure drive round the Redditch Road system.pwheeler02/01/2020

Probably walked past previuosly when logging local water tower.cjo29/04/2019
4th top of 8 on a predominantly Worcestershire car tumping route, visiting Swines Hill, Rous Lench Hill and Moreton then up through Redditch to park in the surgery car park. The surgery seems abandoned. Visited all sides of the building plus the road and over to the church. Onwards to stop at an M&S service station en-route to Newbourne Hill...Dazingdale26/01/2019
O dear- my only excuse is that I was coming through Redditch anyway.Mark Sims11/12/2018
Redditch high point Glorious day for one of these 'What's the point' high points. A list tick satisfaction...!!!vegibagger07/01/2018

Evocative name for a distinctly unglamorous location. Chose a Sunday so the surgery carpark was empty and had a short wander around while my wife sensibly stayed in the car.milimana26/11/2017
Bagged on drive home to Cardiff.Ramblingpaul14/11/2017
HP looked to be small front lawn in front of surgery, a metre back from pavement. Horrendous driving around Redditch, now awaiting ticket for entering bus lane...Aye Jimmy09/11/2017
Parked in the surgery car park and, being a Saturday, almost didn't need to get out of the car.clivevilla21/10/2017
Parked in the surgery cp for the few minutes needed. Hp seems to be the surgery front door.Campbell Singer12/07/2017
Parked in road outside church. Visited surgery and then decided to see if I could get into the reservoir compound. Went down alley at the side of a terrace but then decided it wasn't worth it. Anti-climactic way to complete Worcestershire.Herbert Anchovy05/04/2017
Short walk from Bridge Surgery car park to recomplete Worcestershire.PeterD25/03/2017
By cycle from Redditch station and unexpectedly stiff climb up Ivor Rd. Bridge Surgery on high point but road and church only slightly lower.RichardM21/03/2017

As per Adrian, W side of road, Bridge Surgery car park at NE corner of building. More or less drove over it a month ago, contours not very obvious on mapRHW10/03/2017
Opposite the church nr surgery also high.Adrian05/03/2017
Un-natural HP is old concrete reser behind fine old converted water tower, SP 03722 66169, accessible from SW thru recreation area. However it seems the intended HP is further N at SP03746628 (see 10k map), so a revisit needed.RHW25/02/2017
