Logged Descriptions  (logged by 21 users)ByDate of Ascent
6.7 mile walk from the new walkers car park on the B10. Along the ROW to the trig on Slieau Ruy, then we headed back via trails over Colden and pathless but not too bad terrain over Slieau Maggle. 393m ascent. These were the last hills of the day. Earlier we bagged Carn Gerjoil and re-bagged Snaefell. Light cloud with far-reaching views. Saw 2 other walkers about.DanTrig16/10/2023
Up and down from gate to the south, terrain not as bad as fearedColin Crawford03/09/2023
From Colden directly down to gate on the track, over rough ground (would have been better to have gone back W to the high point in the path), then up on sheep paths through the heather. Descended W to the track, and back to the car park.LizH21/07/2023
Traverse from Dilby to Crosby on a clear sunny day. Across heather on sort of path. Abney; levelish on top.Denise 28/09/2022
Up by the road (B22) from Sartfell Plantation car park, then across heather to top. An interesting cairn has been erected on the summit!Dangerous Dave08/05/2022
From Colden with PM.CJM08/12/2021
From Colden with CM. Easy going through shortish heather.bolton08/12/2021
Same parking for Slieau Freoaghane. Good track going south for Colden, then a near direct line over to here on the return.jonglew06/12/2021
Out and back from B22 road summit (room for bike only) over dry, short heather. Cheap, Etrex 10's track says point 37 metres SSW of two white stones and discarded fencing pole, at SC3468186019, is 1.44 metres higher.Eddie17/09/2019
This is my 2nd New tump found and the 1st log for this hill, the 6th tump of 10 on a 35.4km route from Braaid to Laxey, climbing The Mount, Slieau Chiarn, Archallagan Hill, Slieau Ruy and Colden before heading North to junction of paths then NE direct to the top. Summit area is very flat so wandered around for around 10 minutes, before deciding that two white stones would suffice for the summit, recording these at 434m @SC 34667 86053, descent to the spot height on the road and then the highest point on the road to take a reading plus over the fence where the land dips, an estimated col before heading along the road. Next Tump. Carraghan...Dazingdale20/07/2018
