11am,15 degrees,south-easterlies, overcast. From Blackhope Nick. On to Monkside. | Wycombe Wanderer | 17/08/2023 |
From Blakehope Nick. Fenceline to Berrymoor Edge trig pillar, then direct line across to here - rough, awkward ground. On to Monkside and return for a 12.1k round. | jonglew | 10/06/2023 |
From Blakehope Nick. Fair path to ridge. After that what can most accurately be described as lines where people appear to have walked before. Definitely not paths but made life easier to Wether Lair. Then on to Monkdide and return. | ijpowell | 02/08/2019 |

My final English 1000ft hill ....
Parked at Blakehope Nick (alt 457m) from where a good vehicular track leads up to the col (following the eastern side of the fence). At the top there is a brand spanking new fence along the ridge all the way to the top. There is an intermittent continuation of the track alongside the south side of the fence. Visited the spot height but my GPS gave a higher reading about 25m away at the other side of the fence. Been to both however. Not too tasking, 90 minutes return. | moorsman | 02/09/2018 |
Returning from Monkside, looking for a smoother way - not found. | Aye Jimmy | 23/09/2016 |
