Landed SW corner with Steve Clague, boatman from Port St Mary. 2 pitch, V diff climb up seaward ( S facing) crack using 50 m rope to summit notch. Second shorter pitch (c 30m rope) pitch to summit pinnacle ( with rusty bolt for belay).Abseiled off from notch ( with huge (5-10m) rope belay (not recovered ) around lower pinnacle) down same crack using doubled 60m, to seaward ledge. Easiest to land around low water in low swell. Summit GPS recorded 39 m altitude .Denise 25/09/2022
As per Denise's log. Thanks to Richard for lead. Good wide ledges above high water at start of pitch 1, climbing mostly easy, trickier move near start and last 3m below notch. Final short arete and summit block look intimidating but are ok, Richard was able to belay from the tiny overhanging summit. Holds and rock excellent throughout. Getting back on boat was the crux today, close to high water with swell rising and fresh NW breeze. Superb stack, one of my faves. Lovely climb made easier by Richard's intrepid leading and rope skills. Great boatman who persevered with recovering us off the rock in tricky winds and swell. Definitely one to savour.jonglew25/09/2022
A Wonderful 3 hours with Richard leading accompanied by Denise, Rob and Jon. We landed on the Sw corner and climbed upto a stable ledge. Pitch 1 & 2 were combined leaving us just the short exposed traverse and climb to the summit block. Iconic stack with oodles of character and satisfyingly this completes the Isle of Man u/a and nice to do it on a hill that I found too.Dazingdale25/09/2022
Delightful sustained VDiff climbing on good rock with plentiful holds and great exposure. Good belay at notch between the twin pinnacles but on the crowded side for five! Easy low tide landing in calm conditions but extraction was more challenging in increasing swell and wind but ably managed by Steve Clague (Port St. Mary boat excursions)RichardM25/09/2022
