On an 11.7 mile circuit from Wilderhope Manor. from the junction with the Shropshire Way at New House (548905). Path up the fields and along the ridge. Then followed the sign and rights of way back to Wilderhope. | JulieB | 14/10/2022 |
From Fegg Hill, Followed field edges but not easy owing to trying to stay as close to the edge as possible because of crops. There were paths on the map shown across the fields but just crops on the ground so followed field margins on the way back too. | Alan Caine | 30/07/2022 |
Decent verge parking on bend to WNW of Pilgrim Cottages & up Fegg Hill. From Fegg Hill, track along field boundaries & then RoW. The path/track enters the wood by a giant beech & then less than 200m to high point which lies a few metres to left of track. | gerrybowes | 28/05/2022 |
From Fegg Hill direct along field margins. Solo | RoguePulsar | 27/02/2022 |

9/9 on shortest day. From the south. Parked in wide holiday let drive entrance. Over stream and then along field edges to top. | Campbell Singer | 22/12/2019 |
From S, small layby opposite Seven Stars (which has a bonus cut BM). Shropshire recompleted - and all-hills completion following Bates Barn earlier in day. Heavy rain on ascent. Seems some latitude in interpretation of HP, with summit rather level W-E | RHW | 15/12/2019 |
4 of 7 would be a lovely place on the right day but I was getting drenched and the fields were already saturated | The-Z-Man | 17/11/2019 |
2 and a bit mile circular walk from Wilderhope Manor. Nice hill with some good views :-) | heavyhorses | 12/03/2019 |
A nice anticlock circuit from the minor road West. Taking in the Mogg forest trig pillar and Wilderhope manor. Shropshire once again completed. Summit is perhaps near the big tree- you’ll see which one I mean. Muted views today - going easy enough no difficulties trig pillar has an altogether better ascpect. | stig_nest | 17/02/2019 |
Parked in the layby opposite the Seven Stars, followed the Shropshire Way briefly before forking right to the right of a wooded strip. The path alongside goes right up to the brow and the summit is just inside the wooded strip at 54903 92127. | clivevilla | 24/01/2019 |
on a day of a number of Wenlock edge TuMPs | vegibagger | 16/04/2014 |
Worked at Wilderhope Manor for the first time, New Year's Eve 2007, and walked up here the next morning after party was cleared up. From the manor, along the track over the ford, and up across the footpath. Would do so many times again over the next year! | DanHolme | 01/01/2008 |
On Shropshire Way. | arranc | 13/04/1993 |
Date unknown and on several of occasions. Revisited on 03/02/2019 and recorded a 'summit' photo. Agree with clivevilla's Grid Ref. - HP = near a tree between the track and woodland edge. P at Wilderhope Manor. | summitsup | 01/01/1990 |
