This one was fun. No views but just interesting approach.Dusty16/10/2022
Parked to NE on side road. Due N of summit is a gate accessing track whence each summit is readily accessible. Lower N summit best bagged from E side; main S side from N side. S side of N summit is hard going, linking them direct is NOT recommended! I followed the track NW, to make a circuit.RHW17/04/2021
This is a new-for-2020 tump. My name is David and the hill name translates as David's Isle. Private land, no signs and no active habitation where I could ask about access. Nearby manor house is a second home. I parked at the Woodland Trust site to the East (ascending to the viewpoint is strongly recommended). The hill rises directly out of the Mawddach estuary salt marshes and is completely surrounded by fencing, with additonal dry stone walling in places. Windblown trees on the SE side have brought the fence down, faciltating access. The woodland is mixed - mostly oak with beech on the northern side the presence of which along with some rhododendron suggest that the hill is/was part of a 'country estate. Summit in the S ring contour SH6464917480. Alti suggests ~2m higher than summits within the N ring. Here there is a level ridge SH6459017594 and a separate small hillock SH6458217637. Thick vegetation on the former blocks any direct views.M3WDD09/09/2020
