Straight up the 1st fairway. Had a look at the Trig as well. | summitter | 21/11/2023 |
Six Tump walk from Turnhouse to Dalmeny. From Golf Club to top, 3 balls found at summit area, on to truncated trig, over wall and on to Grotto Bridge. | lordtonult | 31/01/2023 |
A lot of house building on approach. As others up past driving range to path and to the top. Onto trig. No golfers about as it had been a wet day. | PeterD | 16/05/2022 |
Up from the club house. Had a walk about HP first then the trig. Nice view of the airport. No problems with golfers and grounds staff. | Andrew Simmons | 12/05/2022 |
Parked west of the clubhouse. Paved path by the driving range takes you an overgrown path. Follow it up and you'll eventually get to a gorse bush that marks the summit, just southwest of the 6th. Trig point next to the 3rd. | JAdair97 | 08/01/2022 |
Cammo car park. Struggled over dyke with Zimmer. Top easy to find. | Play2End | 21/11/2021 |
Parked in Cammo Estate car park (NT 1773 7446). Hopped the estate boundary wall and across 2 fairways. | jonglew | 24/07/2021 |
From S as per chrisbien, early morn before first tee off (0730) but still some mowing / maintenance underway | RHW | 26/04/2021 |
Same as before. Dozens of golfers despite lockdown. Back over Corstorphine Hill | Thearlaichdubh | 17/01/2021 |
Parked to the NE in Cammo Walk. Road to car park closed for utilities work. Good tracks SW to golf course. Over the very high wall and across multiple fairways to trig by the 3rd tee, and higher ground 100m down the fairway. Oh, no golfers as it was dark. Great view of the airport. | Minto | 15/08/2020 |
Parked at Cammo, walked up the road until a path into the field and followed the wall on the west up to the golf course. Waited until the coast was clear and ran across the fairways to the trig and then the summit. | curlebd | 16/07/2020 |
P Y jnct just E of club house. Followed a track then along side of fairway before going to the top. An overgrown track then leads easily back to main track. | chrisbien | 13/07/2020 |
Thanks for the Cammo hint, which made the approach relatively easy. Once over the wall, I had to sprint across a couple of fairways and an intervening belt of woodland in order to gain the summit. I found a lost ball in the trees and dropped it on the lower fairway on return; no doubt that puzzled the players | Colin Crawford | 09/07/2020 |
Late pm on the way home after visiting family in edinburgh, up from the CH. | robertphillips | 29/05/2020 |
Cammo back door ...short scoot over fairway while golf is banned... | N.Morters | 27/05/2020 |
Climbed it again from Cammo following wall on W side and into field and a couple of walls before trig and golf course before it got busy with post lockdown golfers. Back home via R Almond. | Thearlaichdubh | 27/05/2020 |
Another way onto the course is from the southeast, walking a few yards up the drive towards the council tip, then left over the little wall. Coming back, I met a polite but firm greenkeeper (no dog). He said that the Scottish Government has closed all golf courses. | Pete R | 27/04/2020 |
The best way on to this is via Turnhouse golf club clubhouse to the West and just go straight up the hill and bear right a bit. The highest point seems to be a prominent gorse bush. Beware of the angry greenkeeper and his large and fierce dog. I visited the trig which is near the 3rd tee bag drop. I came out to the NE via the path network in the Cammo estate. | Thearlaichdubh | 26/04/2020 |
11.07 golf course trig abused by path layers on the golf course. Wish I'd had a Stanley knife with me to release to FB a bit more. | vegibagger | 01/09/2017 |
Parked at clubhouse, golfers unconcerned. Surprisingly good views to Pentlands in evening sun. | agentmancuso | 11/10/2009 |
