After spending a lovely night at the village hotel. Though I’d look to see what was available in the area. Couldn’t get closer than this. About 0.75 mile round trip from the front door.The-Z-Man02/01/2024

Free car park. Easy walk up. A much better summit to be N. Tyneside Co.Top than Camperdown. Took some nice sunset photographs. Solo.Dangerous Dave17/12/2021
Walk around landscaped area summit and ponds. Nice waggonway walks via killingworth trigpillarcjo24/10/2021
From the Silverlink Park CP. Easy 15 minutes up and back. Impressive sleeper edged steps and white painted sundial that seemed to merge with the sky as we climbed towards it.Newton Maximus20/10/2021
Walked along the railway track footpath from Percy Main metro, diverted up to the top then continued to Northumberland Park metro for the football. The classic UA top / Tottenham away win double!Richard17/10/2021
Parked in the car park for silverlink and a easy stroll takes you to the top with a giant sundial.WAYNE ROWLETT14/10/2021
Parked in car park to SW. Made a bit of a circular route of it by heading N and back along the disused railway line, but could have been up and down in a couple of minutes probably.Wheelsy21/08/2021

Dedicated, free carparking at the base of the hill. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent viewpoint.moorsman25/10/2020
Used Silverlink Biodiversity carpark to NW. Shame the local low-life have graffitied the sundial's gnomon. No sun today unfortunately. Received a nice 'Welcome to Tyneside' from the council - a £60 fine for straying into a bus lane, trying to find my way around town...Aye Jimmy11/10/2020
Easy walk on paths from free parking to west and a view from the summit. One of the better tops in the area, but the competition isn't strong.mae01/10/2020

Diverted to it into the Geodiversity Park on a cycle ride from the Waggonway. Must have past it about 10 times during lockdown within 400m, finally took my GPS with me today to locate it as you can't see it from the Waggonway thhrough the trees. It has however good paths up it, I cycled to the top albeit on a mountain bike on a grassy track. Big sundial monument on top and good views from the summit.JulieB08/08/2020
From the car park. Sundial and compass points on the top. Viewfinders either vandalised or faded.afoster01/08/2020

Free car park off The Silverlink North at Silver Biodiversity Park NZ 3145 7020. Easy stroll to sun dial. There's a ramp round the back if you can't manage the steps! Much better than the highpoint it replaces.PGCE15/05/2020
Boris said we could travel, so, parked at Rising Sun Country Park - climbed Rising Sun Hill (ex coal tip - very nice now) - and on old tramways to Silverlink Hill. If the sun is out you can tell the time from the sundialmaknipe13/05/2020
