After spending a lovely night at the village hotel. Though I’d look to see what was available in the area. Couldn’t get closer than this. About 0.75 mile round trip from the front door. | The-Z-Man | 02/01/2024 |
From the C.P Yeah... | Play2End | 14/10/2023 |

Slippery mud if taken directly from carpark. Can't believe I was billeted at Village Hotel across the road for three weeks in 2014 and didn't manage to summit. | lordtonult | 13/01/2023 |
Made up a 5 mile circuit from the Mazda garage while waiting for my car tyres to be changed over. | JulieB | 21/11/2022 |

On a 9.6 mile circuit from Rising Sun car park, around Rising Sun Country Park, then down to Holystone roundabout then pick up paths through to Cobolt and Silverlink Hill, then back on waggonways through Silverlink and back to Rising Sun. Recce of a route for a group walk. | JulieB | 04/02/2022 |
An easy walk from the car park on the west side. | bolton | 15/01/2022 |
Free car park. Easy walk up. A much better summit to be N. Tyneside Co.Top than Camperdown. Took some nice sunset photographs. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 17/12/2021 |
Walk around landscaped area summit and ponds. Nice waggonway walks via killingworth trigpillar | cjo | 24/10/2021 |
From the Silverlink Park CP. Easy 15 minutes up and back. Impressive sleeper edged steps and white painted sundial that seemed to merge with the sky as we climbed towards it. | Newton Maximus | 20/10/2021 |
Walked along the railway track footpath from Percy Main metro, diverted up to the top then continued to Northumberland Park metro for the football. The classic UA top / Tottenham away win double! | Richard | 17/10/2021 |
Parked in the car park for silverlink and a easy stroll takes you to the top with a giant sundial. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 14/10/2021 |
Parked in car park to SW. Made a bit of a circular route of it by heading N and back along the disused railway line, but could have been up and down in a couple of minutes probably. | Wheelsy | 21/08/2021 |
Evening spent at Hartlepool Marina then off to Seaton Carew for a rivet before the Seaton Carew Park Run then onto Silverlink Park vis the Tyne Tunnel before heading back to Whitby via two trigs to prepare for the Cleveland Way over 6 days. | Dugswell2 | 24/07/2021 |

Parked briefly in the university car park at 31468 70198 and walked through the woods. The vandalism is a shame. | clivevilla | 04/06/2021 |

Dedicated, free carparking at the base of the hill. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent viewpoint. | moorsman | 25/10/2020 |
Used Silverlink Biodiversity carpark to NW. Shame the local low-life have graffitied the sundial's gnomon. No sun today unfortunately. Received a nice 'Welcome to Tyneside' from the council - a £60 fine for straying into a bus lane, trying to find my way around town... | Aye Jimmy | 11/10/2020 |
Easy walk on paths from free parking to west and a view from the summit. One of the better tops in the area, but the competition isn't strong. | mae | 01/10/2020 |
TD, C & H | This Dog | 02/09/2020 |
Diverted to it into the Geodiversity Park on a cycle ride from the Waggonway. Must have past it about 10 times during lockdown within 400m, finally took my GPS with me today to locate it as you can't see it from the Waggonway thhrough the trees. It has however good paths up it, I cycled to the top albeit on a mountain bike on a grassy track. Big sundial monument on top and good views from the summit. | JulieB | 08/08/2020 |
From the car park. Sundial and compass points on the top. Viewfinders either vandalised or faded. | afoster | 01/08/2020 |

Campbell certainly knows how to treat a lady. Taken for a day out to a Tyneside tip. | Barbara Singer | 21/06/2020 |
Car park to NW, path direct to summit, or several options. Summit sundial: misty o'clock | RHW | 14/06/2020 |

From car park on West Side | vegibagger | 22/05/2020 |
Free car park off The Silverlink North at Silver Biodiversity Park NZ 3145 7020. Easy stroll to sun dial. There's a ramp round the back if you can't manage the steps! Much better than the highpoint it replaces. | PGCE | 15/05/2020 |
Boris said we could travel, so, parked at Rising Sun Country Park - climbed Rising Sun Hill (ex coal tip - very nice now) - and on old tramways to Silverlink Hill. If the sun is out you can tell the time from the sundial | maknipe | 13/05/2020 |
Worked less then 400 yards from it. Many a lunch time stroll. No known exact date, but will reclimb soon. | Jhimmy | 01/01/2005 |
