Pleasant walk across the moorland from Stang Top. With Alfie. We visited the cairn on Arndale Hill on the way back. Look out for the mannequins!Dangerous Dave13/04/2021
Shaw Farm to Booze Moor then Moresdale Road, Schoolmaster Pasture, Hurst, Marrick Moor, Fremington Edge Top, Booze & Shaw Farm. Bright, fine & dry day.Vin03/11/2020
Parking adjacent to Stang House is better than parking in the small area 400m up the road (alt 466m) as it involves crossing fewer drainage channels. There are tracks, which although helpful, dont actually head for the summit. The moorland is well cared for so walking is easy. Trig point visible for a large section of the walk. 3.11km return 60 minutes. Ascent 64mmoorsman20/06/2020
With Sue on a cloudy damp day. From top of Stang car park. Arndale Hill then decided to go back to car after looking at the bogs and drive to Stang house to Booze Hill. Direct to summit and back via mine workings on good tracks to car.Frank19/06/2020
