From the parking area N of the Sub-Station. Followed track to the N shore of Loch Howie. At nearing the end of the track headed into the trees. Easy bash through as the lower branches break off very easily. Headed up into the highest contour ring on the map as the actual summit is impossible to decipher. Back down the way we came and then onto Blackcraig Hill, Benneeve and Fell Hill. Then through the brash to to the track that heads past Loch Skae which was then followed to Loch Howie and the A702 and the short stroll along the road back to the carWayne Mac12/02/2023

P start of windfarm track, CP sign for Low Howie. Forest track shown on 1:25k branching off NE towards this hill no longer exists, short section of semi-scrub then up through trees easily enough. Back out same way & on to Blackcraig Hill.agentmancuso11/06/2021
Parked at wind farm track start (NX 6882 8374) for ridge walk, popped into forest on the way for this. Couldn't really identify if anything higher than the GR given here. Headed SW to rejoin the main track, then headed up.jonglew06/02/2021
Track to substation and up edge of trees to metal frame, then into the trees for about 120m to the mossy clearings.robertphillips25/10/2020
On the way back from Blackcraig and Benneeve. Trees not too bad.chrisbien26/08/2020
P at 688337. Along track to sub-station. Track up L of forest is very overgrown at the bottom but better higher up. Alternatively, keep L of BW fence and climb at top corner (awkward). Hp in mature forestry. Entered trees NW of summit. Once inside, quite easy to walk through. Hard to identify summit. Perhaps small bouncy clearing of red / green moss? Would be perfect!49pp07/08/2020
How remarkable that no-one had visited this new Tump to date, then two of us do so on the same day. I was there at approximately 8.30am, using the track to the east then a poor firebreak west. My GPS wasn't much use in the trees but I'd agree that the little mossy clearing is a decent candidate for the high point.Colin Crawford07/08/2020
