Parked in unrestricted layby about 500m before main car park. Followed path close to, or on, the World Cup track. Gondola closed today due to winds, and World Cup track largely closed due to maintenance. Good views from summit.PGCE06/04/2024
Parked in one of the last few places where one can park without fee or restrictions. From the ski centre, through woods to join Allt a Mhuilinn FP from the North Face CP (rough road). Then FP, L, through frozen bogs and sheet ice to 600m. Then snow covered grass and rocks up W flank to Carn Dearg Meadhonach and on to Carn Mor Dearg. Back to CDM and Carn Beag Dearg, hoping to descend N, but very slow going in deep drifted snow between big boulders, so down W then a contour round at 600m to cross Allt Daim below Meall Beag, which was ascended in a clockwise spiral using Blue Doon MTB track (closed) for Sgurr Finnisg-aig. Because the ski centre had not seen fit to provide an FP down, I descended one of the (closed) MTB tx back to the ski centreIsbjorn10/11/2023
From the CP, but paths are now mountain bike trails with signs to avoid from 10.30 to 4.30. I was informed that the only descent is the cross country option which I did, but for once not too badiainwalton28/08/2023

Went up the Gondolas with family. I went to climb Ben Nevis but it's a bit dangerous this early in the year. This was very easy so not really an alternative to Ben Nevis :)Skarletk26/03/2022

From Gondola, short easy walk but strong & v cold wind made stay short, good views would have been better without cloud at 2500ft, sunny cold & calm at base station.apricorum20/02/2013

After a trip up on the gondola.Wheelsy27/07/2006
With a friend. We left one vehicle at the car park of the Aonach Mòr gondola system and drove to the top of Glen Nevis in another. We walked up Upper Glen Nevis and climbed steeply up to the summit of Sgùrr a' Bhuic. We continued to Stob Coire Bhealaich, Aonach Beag and Aonach Mòr. Here we separated, my friend descending northwards. I descended with a little difficulty down snow slopes to the east and to Stob an Cul-Choire, Stob Coire an Fhir Dhuibh and Tom na Sròine. I descended westwards and contoured round Aonach an Nid to the vicinity of the top station of the gondola system. I went up to the summit of Sgùrr Finniosgaig. I descended on the mountain bike trail and reached the car park about 21:00.pwbellarby13/05/2006
