From Glen Tilt Carpark at Old Blair, walked along Glen Tilt to Gilberts Bridge and New Bridge, following the good path all the way to the summit of Beinn Mheadonach. OK path continued to Carn a Chiaraidh, though we lost it in places. Elrig ic an Toisich had less of a path, but with mossy summits and little heather, walking was easy. Contoured round the N end of Beinn Dearg to Beinn Gharbh and the cairn easily found. Straightforward climb to Beinn Dearg. We descended off the almost due S path (the E most of the few) for 2km before heading almost due E over peat hags to meet a track that ran SE to Beinn a Chait. After the summit we were down heather and grass until we reached the path just N of Elrig. A smaller path took us directly to the summit. Descent W to again meet a path that led us over Allt Slanaidh then a 5km track walk back to the car park. 32km, 1300m climb 8 hrs walking. Very dry underfoot. Fab circuit avoiding endless tracks to remote hills.Lynnebe13/09/2023
From Old Bridge of Tilt, up Glen Tilt then Gleann Mhairc. Lovely old woods and small stone acrhed bridges. 23km, 5h30Rockdoctor28/08/2023
Beinn Dearg and Beinn Mheadhonach from Blair Atholl campsite. Good paths all the way.Geoff Briggs08/04/2023
From Glen Tilt car park biked it via Gilberts bridge to the bridge at 888712 over the Allt Mhairc. A decent path leads all the way to the summit from there. Five and a quarter hour return and just over 14 miles. Solo in sunny, windless conditions. Some mist on top.bolton27/02/2023
Solo cycle from Bridge of Tilt car park to Gilberts bridge and then cycled along the path to the bridge over Allt Mhairc, and then up the good path (not on map) to the summit at N end of plateau/ridge.John Lee15/09/2022
With John from Bridge of Tilt car park. Easy walk-in avoiding the rifle range, to the Ach-mhairc bridge and then headed along the path to the (old) new bridge over Allt Mhairc, and then up the path to the summit. All of the tops seem higher than the others so we just tapped all of them before heading back the way we came. Forecast was a bit iffy but we escaped with just 20mins of rain and a cool wind on the top, otherwise was quite pleasant with good clarity. Total time 5h 16min.mproudfoot21/08/2022
Second ascent from Old Bridge of Tilt, on way to Simms, Carn a' Chiaraidh and Elrig 'ic An Toisich.NormanW07/06/2022
From CP. Originally going to use MTB, but axle broke. So I decided to just walk it, it looks a long way but only took me 5hr 30mins. The first top with a pile of stones nearly had me fooled but checked the gps only to find the true top is further north! Lovely sunny day.Jhimmy02/06/2022
Dry, bright with frost clearing, cold northerly wind. Out from G Tilt parking, up W side of Glen, returned by E side (the RoW,better views, wet and muddy in places). G Mhairc impressive. Quiet up top with fine views if partial. 6.5 hrs plus stops but it's a fine, long walkniallp22/11/2021
With Sue from Bridge of Tilt car park, cycled along Glen Tilt to Gilbert's Bridge, took bikes on W side of river along tracks left bikes before first of two wonderful stone bridges and up the S ridge on to summit ridge of Beinn Mheadhonach, return pick up bikes and good ride back same way.Frank18/10/2021
2/3 Some views from top – low cloud skimming nearby tops. Clag lifted to North as I left summit, made crossing valley to Carn a’ Chlamain easier. Rounsfell20/09/2021
Standard route up and down from Old Bridge of Tilt car park. Lovely day, good views, beautiful wooded glen with rushing water after a couple of days of heavy showers, easy tracks and paths with good bridges, long but easy grassy whaleback ridge.Owen B13/07/2021
My fifth summit having walked over from Beinn Dearg to Beinn Mheadhonach. A pleasant walk from the last one along the ridge and sun and good views at the summit.meltdiceburg10/07/2021

19.4 miles 3349ft walk, start at Blair Atholl Castle Caravan Park, take track up Glen Tilt to Ach-mhairc Bridge walk up Gleann Mhairc to New Bridge and follow ridge to Summit of Bienn Mheadhonach and Carn a' Chiaraidh, return along ridge to Ach-mhairc Bridge then Glen Tilt back to Blair Atholl.stephenbuda19/09/2020
From Bridge of Tilt car park, cycled along Glen Tilt to Gilbert's Bridge, left bike, continued on W side of river to Allt Mhairc, then along tracks over the two stone bridges and up the S ridge on Beinn Mheadhonach (tracks more or less continuous, but a gap and confusing contouring track at ca 750m), to summit ridge of Beinn Mheadhonach, and right along the whole thing (not completely clear which bit is really the summit), return same way.kdbennett28/07/2020

Biked to Ach-mhairc Bridge - NN 888712. New Bridge is well and truly there. Also good path from there up S ridge B.Mheadhonach but beware contouring path at around 750m - continue directly up ridge and path soon becomes obvious again. Easy crossing to Munro ridge if continuing to Carn a'Chiamain - Munro. Horrible descent from there on stony track, so this with the Marilyn, improves the walk no endcarole engel01/05/2019

Walked from Tarf Hotel Bothy, following Tarf Water past Loch Mhairc then up the north side. A tough walk over peat hags and bogs, limited summit views due to rain.Chris Mac27/07/2016

Good path up but a very annoying summit to try to survey, especially in a strong biting wind.alda21/04/2015
Beinn Dearg walk from Tilt car park.justin99905/09/2014
12th – Solo. From Blair Atholl, walk up Glen Tilt, ascend to summit via S ridge (access awkward – no bridge and quite steep at bottom of ridge). Returned by Glen Tilt after passing over Carn a' Chlamain. Dry, cool, clear and sunny day with light breeze. 10hr day, deceptively tiring.RGibbs19/04/2014
From Old Bridge of Tilt via Gilbert's Bridge and the south ridge.davidpettit8403/11/2013
MMC Walk. Alex, Fraser Gold, Ron Dorn, Ian McArthur and Eunice walked from Old Glen Tilt Carpark to Forest Lodge then up good stalker path to Carn 'a Chlamain. Rest went down the ridge. I carried onto Beinn Mheadhonach and descended from there. Occasional snow and high wind, occasional calm and sun. A great day. 7 1/2 hoursalexmaclennan28/04/2013
All weathers in one day. Cycle to bridge after Marble Lodge. Summit on the munro, drop to the river where the fun began. When I was putting my camera into my rucksack to stay dry it was in the dry bag that bounced down the hillside 10m into the Allt Mhairc. Willie who was not going to do the Corbett went off in hot pursuit. I am pleased to say he managed to fish the bag out of the river, contents none the worse. Steep climb to Corbett ridge, but a nice walk along the top and down to the bridge. What an absolute gem of a find this bridge Why is it here how long has it been here it is beautiful Also a cairn & shelter built by stone at NN 878 739. Reunited with my camera phone gloves etc we contoured round the hill to the bridge, unlocked the bikes and made our way out. It was good to have the bikes made short work of the track back to car park & car. Corbett # 13 SMHC with Peter McDonald & Willie NorrisLizzieG21/04/2013
