With CathyS, RobN & Luna. From North Sannox car park to Cladach carpark.masmith28/01/2023
19k run : Glen Sannox horseshoe (with a guest appearance from Goatfell).quadbarrel30/05/2022
After Caisteal Abhail East top on a 12km circuit from North Glen Sannox bridge. I wasn't going to do this one as I had already climbed it but I couldn't resist in the end. Armed with the fact that I had done it before I worked out where to put my feet legs etc and was not as freaked out as the first time lol. Onwards to Suidhe Fheargas..Dazingdale15/05/2022
It's possible to jam a hand into the crack to make the airy step less scary (particularly when descending). Getting an inital foothold on the way up could be awkward in big boots.mae03/07/2019
I had previously been here on 01/04/1983. My diary entry wasn't detailed enough to be certain I'd gone to the top. I definitely did so today. The jump is easy to protect for the second person across.Alan Moore14/05/2019

high corrie to north sannox walk, mullach buidhe, north goatfell, cir mhor, caisteal abhail, caisteal abhail east top, caisteal abhail far east top, a good 1m step from boulder to slanting slab suidhe fhearghas.robertphillips11/08/2018
After Caisteal Abhail en-route back to N Sannox CP after Gill Stevens' final Corbett. Ably assisted by a rope courtesy Richard McLelland.jonglew18/11/2017
A second fun but awkward scramble, aided by Richard belaying. A 'foot monitor' is most useful to make the final descent step across a large gap from the sloping slab to a boulder. Approached from the east on a scrambly path. Part of a group of 13 continuing east along the Ridge from Caistail Abhail and Jez and Gill's Corbett completion. Gusty sunshine. Great group.Denise 18/11/2017
Gill Stephens and Jez Turner's Corbett completion. Excelent weather with an occasional snow squall. 35-40 celebrating. Then 13 of us s went dien the NE ridge This top third with belaying help from Richard McLelland.vegibagger18/11/2017
After C Abhail, a dozen of us, a blustery day, but this one fairly sheltered. Thanks to Richard for comfort rope. Committing step across 1m gap but holds and rock good.RHW18/11/2017
what a great day climbed with a group from RHB. Good fun thank youthenomad18/11/2017
Climbed with group - big thanks to RichardM.Wycombe Wanderer18/11/2017
An exposed step over airy gap then a few metres of rough granite slab reaches the high point. Dramatic sunshine and clouds. With enthusiastic group of 12.RichardM18/11/2017
Walked up from car park. Cloud perched on summits, great view in cleft of Witch's step. Company: Martin Stewartiandesbottes13/04/2017
Following Colin's example to make sure of the summit, just that step out to gain the summit slab. Pleased to have picked a dry calm day and wore my walshes.chalky195310/09/2016
Making sure of the top after recent postings induced doubts. Just the one awkward, confidence move onto the summit slab. Still don't remember if I did it in 1989Colin Crawford04/08/2016
9th hill of 10 on an epic day of Scrambling adventure. Starting in Brodick i climbed Beinn Nuiss, Beinn Tarsuinn, Beinn Chliablain, A'Chir, A'Chir North top, Cir Mhor and then the graceful ridge linking it to Casteal Abhail and after linking its summit followed the ridge to Casteal Abhail east top and then a tricky but achievable scramble to the summit. I continued on to descend into the gully at the foot of the Witch's step and as others scrambled upto the summit of the huge granite buttress. Getting down was even more tricky but once on the path the way to Suide Fhearglas was straightforward.Dazingdale13/05/2016
Edgy step and exposed slither, near the limit of the possible for me, removed boots to get a toehold into the crack.alda19/04/2016

From Glen Rosa, out over Nuis, Tarsuinn, Cir Mhor (by-pass a'Chir)to Caisteal Abhail and out down Glen Sannox. Meal at Sannox hotel (V good) and taxi back to Brodicknordicstar18/10/2008
Route finding from the east is quite obvious. Final section to summit quite dicey as you have to step over a fairly large drop!andy20/07/2008

We decided not to climb to this top direct due to the weather and snow conditions - so went the northside of the ridge and joined further along. To take a look at the Step we backtracked to this point - but saw swirling mist & snow.ChinnockC14/04/1989
With James Bellarby. From Sannox over Suidhe Fhearghas, continuing to Caisteal Abhail main summit and Cir Mhòr. Down to Brodick.pwbellarby03/10/1987
