Along the track which starts NW of the summit and approaches the top on its southern side. Gets increasingly overgrown as you ascend, but nothing too tricky for the seasoned bagger.summitter30/09/2023
Up tracks from road to the west. Some as makes hardly exist but easy to turn left, north up the slightly over grown track them left again on summit plateau even more overgrown. Secateured some larch branches to make it a bit easier on return.vegibagger23/06/2023
1 of 4: We parked at 378522 and went south on the main forest track to 378515. Here an older but clear track climbs east. At the top turn left and the track soon leads to the trig point and firetower. No problems. With karen.ChrisR13/01/2023
Did this as a last minute finish the day off, it was rather unpleasant on the tracks from the North West. So we walked 300 metres South from Croftmore and took the feint tracks up from there which contoured round the North of the hill through the blown trees and is rather overgrown - then eventually found better tracks at about 37868 51540 which led to close to the summit (last bit you have to yomp through heather to get to trig point). I'd suggest park at Croftmore, walk West on the yellow road to the next forest entrance and get up from there - we came back that way with no issues, much nicer.nickywood113/09/2022
Parked at entrance to track to the NW, followed track shown on 25k all the way to the summit. A bit overgrown.govanah27/08/2022
From the NW. Track a bit wet and overgrown eventually but no problems.NormanW22/04/2022

From 378522 up what was supposed to be a track up Hill of Mulderie but quickly degenerated into windblow followed by replanted pine and spruce. The track going down to the bealach with Little Mulderie is good but the ascent of that was unpleasant too, as was the descent through more re-plantation, whin, heather and broom.sclater04/03/2021
Phil. Returning along the main forestry track we ascended the old road. This was quite straightforward but will be less so in a few years when the gorse and whins have taken it over.In places this process has started. Turned left at top of road and followed a heathery track to a clearing with the trig point, an old building and the fire watch tower. The GPS showed that this could be the summit but the right hand turn at the top of the road leads to large cairn before the land falls away. This I fancy was very slightly higher and probably the summit. Both bases covered! Easy descent for lunch.sarahk28/12/2020
Route as per jimbloomer. Visited trig and cairn 200m away as difficult to say which was highest because of forest.willyross05/08/2020
Parked at the gated track to the NW. Ditches recently dug out, so care needed when keeping clear of the gate. Followed tracks to the summit.LizH22/01/2020
From NW up track - a couple of trees down over the track but easily passable. Path a bit overgrown on the top section to the tower, but easily navigable. Wee derelict stone hut beside Firewatch towerGonk15/03/2019
Usual parking spot to NW. tracks good at first but becoming overgrown in places. Upper reaches were fine. W Jenx and Bryhernordicstar23/01/2018
Cycled up track from lane summit to north around to cross-tracks to W. Turned L up minor but good track legging it up choosing the better track, which was also nearer bearing, at bifurcations. LR 50,000 seems more accurate the the 25,000.Eddie10/02/2017
Good parking at 378522. Follow the track round to the R (then L at crossroads) rather than be tempted by the direct ascent - it was awful.jimbloomer23/04/2016

Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: Parked too early along the track as I was attracted to a benchmark on the house, easy enough walk up but more snow than I was expecting, ended up on a higher track than I should have been and it was blocked with trees so had to head straight up for 250m the last 100m through new plantation and very holey heather, dogs not impressed. Found the correct track down with no bother!thejackrustles24/02/2015
Parked at 378522 after the bonded warehouses. Straightforward walk to top which was my 1,200th HuMP. Good views.Thearlaichdubh06/05/2014
