Route as per LizH below still works. Forest is much easier going than the summit tussocks!49pp07/02/2024
Easily through the treesAlan Moore14/01/2022
Parked at the start of the track to Glenalla Farm. Took the left track after about 400m, continued on the track past the windfall, then up immediately right and past log piles to a forest break. Easier walking inside the mature forest all the way to exit at the top of the firebreak. Rough tussocky walking in the clearing to the summit.LizH10/07/2020
P track to Glenalla, left at junc and along FB from near top of track. Diverted to avoid windfell at one point and just stuck to trees after that, easily spaced. Mid, Fore & Back, then down by wall to N for Clauchrie Hill. Very pleasant short excursion.agentmancuso17/08/2019
Parked at start of Glenalla track; walked track, took first left, then big F.B. on right. Many wind fallen trees to negotiate. broke onto open Fell; Trig on Back Fell then across tussocks to Fore Fell. Great views. With the F.C.The Captain19/02/2019
7th hill of 12 on a tough circular route from North Balloch, climbing Daljedburgh Hill, Craiginmoddie, Doughty Hill, The Pilot, Knockinculloch and Clauchrie Hill, detouring to avoid fallen trees but then heading ENE on forest ride to exit forest then follow the edge SE before climbing steeply to the Trig. I could have avoided such a steep descent however a short descent and then up to the summit knoll for a well-earnt rest for food restoration! Descent over Mid-fell Sw to waterfall and around Garleffin, heading for Garleffin Fell.Dazingdale10/05/2017
From cattle grid to W. Wind-throw blocking ride at NS 346011 but once thru' the wood is opencarole engel16/09/2016
From the west track then firebreak before small quarry, then up through trees to open ground to the top, also visited trig.robertphillips29/11/2015
2nd visit, having carelessly just been to the trig last time. From NW; a complex of narrow rides make for an OKish ascent. Bagged the 377m P30 on the way back. RHW12/05/2012
Parked at start of track to Glenalla farm. After 400m left. Prominent firebreak heading NE to about 3505 0140 then straight up. Horrible clumps on top.chrisbien27/03/2011
