Highlight of this hill was an old plane wreck. Started back, seemingly the only person in the World, when suddenly a couple of climbers appeared out of a worm-hole in space... well, off Mitre Arete in fact. Had brainstorm - already 6-40pm, decided to do Ben A'an; this resulted in getting back to the car after midnight.Aye Jimmy24/07/1995

With Jonathan Bellarby. From Allanaquoich. We walked on the east side of Quoich Water for 1½ miles, over a precarious bridge and then on the west side. We reached the track end at NO083964 and went up beside a burn to the South Top of Beinn a’ Bhuird, A’ Chioch, the North Top of Beinn a’ Bhuird, and Cnap a’ Chléirich. Went on to the SW Top of Ben Avon and Leabaidh an Daimh Bhuidhe. Went back to take in Stob an t’ Sluichd and the W and E tops of Beinn Bhreac. Weather fine. Good views.pwbellarby29/07/1981
