Logged Descriptions  (logged by 25 users)ByDate of Ascent
3rd/4 tumps between Leny CP and stashed cycle at Ardchullarie. A comfortable ascent on good ground after a wet col. Ground on north to Ghoblach is not so good.Topographer5725/02/2024
Up the path from Ardchullarie More and along the upper of the tracks heading SSE (no way to access the lower one). Along to the now disused track at NN590131 - soft but still very usable and it soon joins up with the good track that leads onto the open hill. Bit of a tussocky flog up to Ardoch right into a SE gale (the first stirrings of Storm Babet) with a deer fence to cross (though one section of it is only a stock fence rendering it completely useless in keeping deer out). Back to the track and easier going up Gobhlach. Carried on along the ridge to just before Meall Liath where cut down left and onto an ATV which led nicely down to the main path and some welcome respite from the wind. Along a bit to just past the felled area on the left to where the burn goes through the wall then straight up to above the forestry and angled left to Gheata and its nice view over the loch. Bit tussocky down and up Meall Mor by which time we could barely stand in the wind so plans to continue StueyB18/10/2023
Parking in layby at Ardchullarie More (NHN583136). Up steep FP to upper forest road, along this S to link FP to bend at NN594124. Up to bealach at NN598120, then rough veg to pt568 and on to Druim Ardoch. N to hole in fence at burn (NN608116), An Tx down ride, then W along forest road. Trees do not extend N as far as map shows on S ridge of Meall Gobhlach. Up S ridge, hole in deer fence next to big rock. ATV tk down W from bealach at NN594145 to burn junction NN589150. R ascending TR of extraction lane to solitary tree and boulder, then good An Tk straight up, fading, to bealach at NN584159, tussocks to top of Craig a Gheata. Back same way to burn junction (devil-u-know), and back to laybyIsbjorn14/10/2023
From the cabin with Ian and Ali. Just one dilapidated deer fence to cross. Cloudy but nice.chrisbien30/09/2023
From W Top then back to the Lenny Pass CP. All straightforward except final descent to CP through brash and briar.sclater05/02/2023
Circuit of Meall Garbh, Meall Biorach, Druim Ardoch (Main & W) and Meall Gobhlach from opposite The Cabin on Loch Lubnaig. Easy enough route but 5 deer fences to cross.TRG31817/03/2021
With NormanW, after Meall Biorach, zig-zag up the steep S face. Onwards to the West Top.Minto16/10/2020
With Minto, from Leny Pass car park, via Meall Garbh, and Meall Biorach.NormanW16/10/2020
Parked at entrance to forest road opposite the Cabin (Sunday, so no forest vehicles). By forest roads (L,R,R up a grassy track, L) to the track over the col North of the two Druim Ardochs, then boggily to the West Top and on to the main summit with its little cairn-shelter, returning by the same tracks.Nick Down103/05/2020
4 tump round meall garbh, meall biorach, druim ardoch creag bheithe, druim ardoch west top, meall gobhlach, from the cabin CP.robertphillips11/02/2018
Parked at The Cabin carpark on Loch Lubnaig. It costs £2 for 4 hours. Pleasant walk along forest roads and then easily up a gap to the west top and then the main top.Alan Moore06/05/2017
#14 of 15 clockwise from Ardchullarie More, with Andrew Tibbetts. Nice little igloo cairn next to HP. Weather turned a bit dreich for these last 2 hills and soggy underfoot, but not bad.RHW22/10/2016
Rather fine summit cairn that I left fully intact. Being able to see inside it helped.alda04/10/2016
Done in ankle deep snow from Meall Biorach - hard work. At 99m drop, an insurance job. Unusual, hollow cairn/shelter on top.Colin Crawford01/01/2016
