Solo. Overnighted in campervan at good parking spot N of bridge NN197513. Hydro construction work underway at Alltchaoruinn, followed walker diversion signs through woods on very boggy path. On leaving the trees headed W up very steep vegetated slopes to spot height 494 An Grianan. Followed ridge up onto Beinn Ceitlein N top, Beinn Ceitlein and Beinn Ceitlein S top in very poor visibility before retracing steps and onto Stob Dubh summit. Unfortunately no views!John Lee17/07/2023
Parked in lay-by at Alltchaorunn. Over new bridge and followed “pipeline path” to dam and new bridge at NN198501. This gave an easier angle to climb An Grianan and onwards to the main ridge. Returned the same way.BaggerGutt28/06/2023
Well worth doing this wee summit after Stob Dubh. A steep descent to Glen Ceitlein afterwards down the grassy SW ridge.sclater31/10/2021

Summit is about 150 metres south-west from the 757m spot height. Good descent from there via SW ridge, more gentle than the Stob Dubh ridge and an animal path down the one steep bit.alda20/09/2020
