Beinn Teallach and Beinn a' Chaorainn from Roughburn. Walked up soggy valley to Teallach first as it was clear on the summit at the start but it clouded in before I got there and went very low for the rest of the walk. Strong winds and later rain made it a rather tedious walk by enlarge. Solo. | meltdiceburg | 07/08/2022 |
Standard loop of pair anti-clockwise. Lowering ceiling of cloud and cold breeze. Clag from 1000m up. Cleared, inevitably, on descent. Time inclues 20 mins reascent to retrieve stranger’s jacket/wallet. | Rounsfell | 22/07/2022 |
Early start from Laggan dam after a night in the car. Climbed Beinn a Chaorainn first. It was mostly dry with a few spots of rain but the clouds were above the tops. I climbed the South top then headed over the middle and north tops. Walking was great there was a snow patch close to the south top. As I descended to the bealach I saw a Ptarmigan and Golden Plover. Luckily with all the dry weather it wasn’t to boggy at the bealach with Beinn Teallach. The latter was a bit rockier and there was a bit of a path. I visited both cairns and headed down easy grassy slopes back to the Allt a Chaorainn and the outward route. Did also see Ring Ouzel and Ravens. No other walkers seen. Time taken 4 hours 50 minutes for 11.25 miles. | isabelle | 08/06/2022 |

Loop of Beinn a'Chaorainn and Beinn Teallach (anticlockwise) from parking where a86 crosses rough burn. Great walk with stunning views in excellent conditoins. massive potential to be very boggy on lower slopes on return and between the munros, but excellent today. 17km, 5.5 hrs | Nicky C | 05/06/2021 |
Limited parking at Roughburn. Forest racks to pasture at NN364822. ATV/path along E edge of woods and up S ridge on intermittent sections of a thin path | Isbjorn 3rd Round | 30/05/2021 |
I spent the night sleeping in the car at the Creag Meagaidh car park. Starting at 7am, I climbed Beinn Teallach first, dropping down to the bog between the two Munros, then up to the northern Top followed by the summit of Beinn a' Chaorainn and over the southern Top. Very thick mist on Beinn a' Chaorainn, from which I descended due south, before realising I was headed into Coire Clachaig, so I contoured around to the SW ridge and continued down to to the forest then car, 07:10hrs all in. | chillyman8 | 16/09/2020 |
A one-off walk to the lowest Munro on the list (as at 10 Sept 2020) from where a track leaves the A86 just east of the bridge over the Allt a' Chaorainn. A dreary plod in poor drizzly weather. | knarf | 10/09/2020 |
