From Carn Daimh along Speyside Way (by forest edge) - new cycleway being constructed along here, but already partly washed away by overnight rain. Paths and An Tx to Carn Liath, using burnt patches where none present Back down to forest track bend at NJ174260Isbjorn21/05/2019
from Carn Diamh, leaving Speyside Way at NJ182267 to avoid the roughest ground. Descended north-west, then north-east into grass field, rejoining Speyside Way at NJ186284 KeithByTheC17/05/2019
Pretty much summitter's route, but in reverse. The marked route is clearly marked in the opposite (clockwise) direction to ours. However, deviating to go via 'The Cairn' at 480m. gave a delightful approach to Carn Liath which lost its appealing directness only higher up, where we followed fences.pwheeler19/03/2019
Cairn Ellick, Carn Daimh & Carn Liath from Tomnavoulin - all of which are pretty much on the Carn Daimh Circuit (which is well signposted). A really pleasant three hour or so stroll around the Allt a Choire watershed, taking in sheep, sheep dogs, cows, mud, forestry, and mist interspersed with fine views.summitter06/01/2019
