From Tarmangie Hill on clockwise circuit from Glen Sherup car park. Leave the ATV track once through the gate at the bealach and head NW over pathless rough ground to higher ground. No cairn or obvious high point. Another ATV track runs over the top of the hill and this can be followed NE to join the track back down to Ben Shee and Glen Sherup. | Jossker | 27/01/2024 |
Circuit from Glendevon CP of Shee, Cairnmorris, Middle, Skythorn, Tarmangie, Whitewisp, Innerdownie & Black Hills. Very good paths, everything frozen. | sclater | 18/01/2024 |
Round from Glen Sherup. Day started off wet and windy with aftermath of Storm Babet. Finished dry with sun. | cjo | 21/10/2023 |
Glendevon Woods CP (NN9710510). Forest tracks to start of ride at NN974041. Innerdownie, Whitewisp Hill, Tarmangie Hill, Cairnmorris Hill, Ben Shee, Wester Glensherup, then a temporary track back to CP, but with some shenanigans to overcome barriered-off bridge | Isbjorn | 22/09/2023 |
3 of 4: From Tarmangie Hill. With Karen. | ChrisR | 06/09/2023 |
From Dollar Glen, parking half way up the hill to Castle Campbell. Whitewisp Hill, Innerdownie and Tarmangie Hill first. Then followed boundary down to the col and direct up from there. On to Skythorn Hill, King's Seat Hill and Elistoun Hill and return for a 21k round. | jonglew | 24/02/2023 |
From Glendevon Carpark, decent path follows along Glensherup reservoir, then the path heads uphill just under the summit dome of Ben Shee. This isnt on the map. Then a lovely ridge walk amongst the million sapling trees planted by the Woodland Trust hearabouts. Worth heading up scad hill for the very unusual erratic. I missed this hill out on a previous round, hence only 1 targeted, lovely. | hils | 03/02/2023 |
Round of hills from centre of Dollar by Dollar Burn. Walked up road on E side of Dollar Burn then track above Burn of Care. Then picked route through felled forestry up SW ridge of Hillfoot Hill. Descended W through felled area then steep area between older trees and young forestry. Took a steep and direct route to reach summit of Whitewisp Hill. Easy continuation to Tarmangie Hill, Cairnmorris Hill, Stythorn Hill and Andrew Gannel Hill. Descended E to beallach, then climbed outlier Elistoun Hill before returning to beallach and climbing King's Seat Hill. Descent ESE along ridge and then interesting path by Dollar Burn. Mixture of sunshine and rain. | RobertP | 15/10/2022 |
From Glensherup car park, up forest track and across the dam, then continued left along the track and up onto the col S of Ben Shee. Continued on the track all the way to the summit. Good views. Back over Scad Hill and to Ben Shee. | LizH | 18/09/2022 |
From Glen Sherup CP up track and path to Innerdownie then on over Whitewisp Hill and Tarmangie Hill to Andrew Gannell Hill (which I'd missed by 30 yards before). Return via Cairnmorris Hill and a poor early choice down to Glen Sherup. | SS | 03/08/2022 |

Innerdownie, Whitewisp Hill, Tarmangie Hill, Skythorn Hill, Cairnmorris Hill, Scad Hill, Ben Shee & Black Hill. Circuit from Glen Sherup car park. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 04/03/2022 |
After Bald Hill - around the outside of the deer fence surrounding a new plantation and on up to Skythorn Hill. Good frozen ground all the way. Followed track past summit to the base of Ben Shee and descent through the woods on a waymarked path to Frandy. Burn crossing at Frandy was hazardous - deep fast water. A place where most seem to cross by jumping over was iced up. | fasgadh | 05/01/2022 |
From Tillicoultry from the picnic site on the path that takes the ridge, easy walking.. In its higher stretches the lower path to the west has all but disappeared. Down to left where path swings up tyo Kings Seat and n towards Cairnmorris in cloud. Only problem was that when I got to the forest fence corner there was no forest nor had there ever been. This confused me in the cloud until I realised it was a deer fence so it was a hypothetical forest! After that strai9ghtforward to the top. | dickscroop | 12/10/2021 |

Round of Glen Sherup, widdershins. Warm sun, cool W wind, dry with some cloud. Views partial but long: B a Ghlo, Tinto, Bass Rock, B Vorlich etc. Saw 3 or 4 others, so quiet. Great walking: dam, B Shee, Cairnmorris Hill, Tarmangie, Whitewisp, Innerdownie. Not so hill-fit being first hills for months | niallp | 20/07/2020 |
I circled the summits around glen Sherup in the Ochil Hills, getting the two Donalds, Innerdownie (610m) and Tarmangie Hil (645m), plus a couple of tops, Whitewisp Hill (643m) and Ben Shee (516m). Accessed from the Glen Sherup forest car park, across the A823 from the Glen Devon Holiday Park. Clear blue skies all day, which was actually too bright and hazy to give any views to the south, but windy and cold on top, 04:25 hours all in. | chillyman8 | 03/01/2020 |
