Solo from camp at Strathan. Cycle to Glendessarry Lodge. Followed the good path to glen Kingie then straight up the relentlessly steep slopes to the Sgurr Mor/Sgurr Fhurain col. Gentler slopes to summit. Very wet misty day. Return via sme route.John Lee09/09/2023

the mapped path from Glendessarry via Feith a'Chicheanais and Glac a'Bhreatunnaich to Glen Kingie leaves much to be desired. Starts reasonably but from NM 970 933 was very hard to stick to - very wet and rough going. Glad I was only walking out on it - round via Corbett Sgurr Cos na Breachd-laoidhcarole engel22/08/2022
From Sgurr Cos na Breach-laoidh. Descended NW by fence posts, then gradually curving towards Glen Kingie. Warm, still days, bugs everywhere. Picked up the path for approx. 1km to the 300m contour, then headed straight for the low point in the ridge. Reasonably good grassy ground but found it tiring, thirsty work. Then an easy, pleasing walk along the ridge. Descended by retracing steps for a little way then down the grassy slope to the River Kingie, found an ATV track meeting the path through Feith a Chicheanais, then down the stony and at times awkward path to Glendessary, then along the good track to the road end parking.Owen B22/08/2021
Kayaked across Loch Quoich from 004031 to bottom of Coire Buidhe. Up Sgurr Mor, then round to summit. Descended NNE ridge on excellent stalkers' path back to kayaks.quadbarrel29/06/2021

With John and wee Islay - from Loch Arkaig taking the path over to Glen Kingie and straight up to the bealach between Sgùrr Mòr and Sgùrr an Fhuarain - took in the corbett Sgùrr an Fhuarain first, then across to Sgùrr Mòr, then straight back down the same route from the bealach. Just under 8hrs all in. A warm day, with some incredible views in all directions.mproudfoot24/04/2021

Colin and I. A very long hot dry day.iansm03/07/2018
What a day! Very tiring day from the parking area at Loch Quoich via kayak then onwards to the trigpoint. Zig zag path saved me from near death however it was so hot and in some sections it had no breeze at all. Same route back. Loch had changed considerably since the mill pond in the morning and it took a while to get back to the launch spot. The clouds gathered as we crossed back over the loch and I wondered if a loch was a good place to be in a thunderstorm, a tad late to ask when I was in the middle of the loch! Start 10am - finish 5.35pm.thejackrustles03/06/2018

Andy's final Corbett!amcculloch27/05/2017
51st – With DMC. Andy Murphy's final Corbett. From Loch Quoich dam, follow track providing an East – West traverse of Gairich (to please the baggers). Ascent of Corbett surprisingly hard work up steep East slope. Return via path along Glen Kingie. Forecast threatened severe rainfall, but only started once we had returned to hostel. Clear, dry, warm day.RGibbs27/05/2017
Although I was making good time, I was begining to flag with the heat and lack of sleep, seemed like quite a long walk out to Sgurr an Fhuarain which I reached at 11.11. I could have quite happily lay down at slept on the summit, but I was a long way from the car in remote country. Although I had indicated that I would not be on the direct line from Glen Kingie to the col between Sgurr Mor and Sgurr an Fhaurain, it was the obvious return route as I did not think I had the puff in the mid-day sun to reverse the outward route. It was a steady descent, simple river crossing and not to tough back over the pass to Glen Dessary. However, from the pass to the road seemed long as did the walk out to the car park, back at the car by 16:25.langskill26/05/2017
