Creigiau Gleision Horseshoe. Cefn Cyfarwydd, Creigiau Gleision North Top, Creigiau Gleision, Craiglwyn, Craig Wen and Crimpiau. | alunrees40 | 08/04/2023 |
With Rufus from the Llyn Cowlyd road to the North. Parking on the side of the road at the highest point. Farmer in pickup came up the road a couple of minutes after I arrived asking what I was doing, was no bother. Apparently there’s a camera lower down on the road and he came to investigate seeing as it was still dark. Easy walk with some boggy patches then deeper Heather towards the summit. Great sunrise and such good views all around. Oh and yes the road is pretty steep and has some tight & steep hairpins! | jacobrichmond | 30/11/2022 |
A big day from parking West of Moel Eilio at 73166 66302, first a long stretch of Two and half hours to reach Craig Wen via the path beside Llyn Cowlyd reservoir retracing my steps back to the dam, onto Cefn Cyfarwydd and returning to the dam finally up to the 482 point on the Moel Eilio ridge, the ridge at this time of year was deep heather and really awfull so much so after reaching the summit of Moel Eilio I descended by dropping of the west side to avoid it and reach the track around Afon Porth Llwyd back to the car. Just over Seventeen miles in Eight hours twenty. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 21/08/2022 |
From Eilio followed ridge SW and down to Cowlyd reservoir dam wall. Good path up to col then along broad ridge NE to summit. 3/5 - Waen Bryn-gwenith/Moel Eilio/Cefn Cyfarwydd/Creigiau Gleision North top/Creigiau Gleision | richard69 | 12/07/2022 |
Parked on roadside to N. Good trod to the summit. | Moorponder | 06/07/2022 |

Creigiau Gleision horseshoe. Cefn Cyfarwydd, Creigiau Gleision North Top, Creigiau Gleision, Craiglwyn, Craig Wen and Crimpiau. | alunrees39 | 07/05/2022 |
After an exciting ascent in the car to the HP on the road, an easy and short walk along the ridge to Cefn Cyfarwydd, using ATV tracks and sheep trods. Weather deteriorating fast. On return to the car I met a farmer who had been checking his young lambs on his quad, now searching for the keys which he had lost in the thick grass and heather! Far worse than hunting for a needle in haystack! Just 2.5 km and only 100m ascent from the summit of the road - a round trip of just 35 minutes. | silveracorn_alan | 17/04/2022 |
Re-completion of Section 30B Deweys. This was 'discovered' in 2019 by Myrddyn Phillips, a year after I first completed this section on the adjacent Moel Eilio.
The walk was straightforward from the top of the road to the east - unlike the drive up from Trefriw which was incredibly steep and winding. All these eastern roads onto the Carnedds are the same. | chriswatson | 25/11/2021 |
Park 659 640 round of Cefn Cyfarwydd, Creigiau Gleision, Pen llithrig y Wrach, Craig Ffynnon and high points to Moel Eilio return south via reservoir and pipeline tracks | underhill | 24/11/2021 |
Easy parking at highpoint of road to NE (the drive up is quite exciting - not recommended in winter conditions!). Faint path from SH 7585 6405 goes to within 100m of summit. Round trip of 2.5km, 80m ascent. | PGCE | 16/08/2021 |
Circuit from Llyn Crafnant - branched off ROW to S near the cairn then over easy grass to open gate leading to heathery top. | milimana | 19/06/2021 |

From car park in Trefriw, up lane to Gelli-lydan and take well signposted track through plantation turning right at Lledwigan. Follow track onto moor through gate and follow fence on your right then through gate to summit. Onto Llyn Cowlyd it's access track and lane to Trefriw 8 Miles. | dgresty | 03/01/2020 |
With Bolton, PM. | CJM | 25/08/2019 |

Circuit from Llyn Crafnant to recomplete Welsh Dodds and Deweys. | chalky1953 | 24/08/2019 |
Drove up a single track, steep and twisty road out of Trifriw. It goes past the cemetery. Parked at the highest point of the road. There is a good parking place here with room for several cars. Set off directly for the top. Firstly through bog grass and then heather and hummock grass. Eventually picked up a track where heather had been cut. More heather to the lesser summit and even more heather to the main summit. Return similar to the ascent but more of the cut path as seeing it was easier from above. The top with the cairn is not the main top. The main top is over the fence. | MikeM | 12/07/2019 |
Start ~ 759640. Quick trip to summit, return via Llyn Cowlyd and road back to start. Re-completing the Welsh Dewey's with Wombourne & Pat. | steve hudson | 26/06/2019 |
Parked at GR 759 640, space for several cars. Headed straight for summit walking through heather on occasional sheep paths. Summit marked with a small cairn. Descended towards Llyn Cowlyd to join road back to car. With SH and Pat. | wombourne | 26/06/2019 |
Parked at 759640, made the easy walk across to Cefn Cyfarwydd then the not so easy descent to the dam and ascent to Craig Ffynnon and across to Moel Eilio and descent to the valley again followed by a walk back up the road to the car. 8 miles exactly but slow going because much of it was pathless. 3 hours 22 mins. | clivevilla | 10/04/2019 |
Easy parking to NE on edge of turning circle at SH 75924 64042 - NW along road for a few yards & then along ridge, making use of faint ATV track & well-used sheep trods. On much of the ridge a 2m wide strip of heather has been 'managed' so walk was easier than expected. Recompletion of Deweys. (S) | gerrybowes | 22/03/2019 |
From the locked gate below the Cowlyd Reservoir at SH 74102 63781. Crossed the dam to pick up a path through the heather onto Pen y Graig Gron, then following fence-line NE, leaving it to reach the unmarked summit. Descended north to the road, following it past Brwynog Uchaf back to the car. With AW and MP. | Man of Kernow1 | 17/02/2019 |

Parked SH759640, after short distance found trod and track to fence, short stretch of heather bashing to top. Both tops checked and found the one to South is indeed 1 mtr higher than the one to the North which has a pile of white stones on it. | Anton | 10/08/2012 |
