Parked to SW, did SW top first, then good tracks up to trig and top.PeterD29/11/2023

Parked off the Waun Hirwaun high road at the start of the track to Pant y Llyn. Left the track soon to ascend east to the summit on sheep tracks. Fine views. Varied descent by more direct route south-west, again on sheep tracks. 1.8km, with 70m of ascent.Man of Kernow107/05/2023

2nd hill of three on a terrific 16.5 mile Wye Walley Walk section from Boughrood to Builth. After Erwood Bridge I followed the minor road, but instead of leaving it where the WVW route drops again, I carried on over Twyn Gof common and Waun Hirwaun, stopping off to visit the interesting Twyn y Big cairn. Easy enough walking over undulating ground, the trig plays a little hard to get. After taking in the breathtaking panoramic views, I headed off east to seek out the (unmarked) Banc y Cely stone circle, a very obscure site I've wanted to visit for a long time. Headed NNE to rejoin the WVW route where it leaves the access land.thesweetcheat08/04/2023

Verge parking where the bridleway crosses the minor road at SO 0368 4590. Easy bag, also visited a curious small white concrete monolith.DanMaisieBex25/02/2022
Easy parking on grass at road/track junction at SO 0437 4585 - A fairly direct route to the summit, picking up an ATV track on SW ridge. On return, kept on ATV track which descended S. to join the obvious track 350m E. of car. (S)gerrybowes10/11/2021

From Builth Wells by way of the Wye Valley Way (overgrown in places). When on the WVW the hill seemed covered in bracken but I easily found a way through it to the open upper slopes.Alan Moore24/07/2021

From Garth initially on the Wye Valley Walk then across the grassy common / moorland, much easier going than expected. Pity about the low mist, but at least pleasantly cool for walking.RichardM10/06/2021

Quite surprising to meet another two walkers up here at the trig. Damp and miserable now after a very promising start on Garth.Alex C18/08/2018
