Parked up at entrance to Close House Mine and ran along the track and then up to the R at the fork. Once at the highest point of the track, a sharp R to the cairns on the summit. Great views all aroundmadaddo18/01/2023

Parked at end of track to Closehouse Mine. An estate worker asked if we were heading for Mickle Fell but was perfectly ok about our intended route. Track goes almost all the way with just a short stretch of heather bashing to the solid wind shelter. Then on to Bink Moss.milimana06/09/2020

From Hargill Bridge, wide roadside verge parking (NY 8836 2150). Bink Moss -> Long Crag East Top -> Long Crag -> Lang Hurst -> Staple Currick -> here. Bleak, wet and windswept grouse moorland with cloud down offering no views.jonglew07/10/2019
From SE, estate road then NNE on mapped track leading nearly to interesting bouldery summit, largest of the several cairns is built on slightly lower ground, sunny morningRHW08/09/2019

With Jo, from B6276 along track to the col NNW of summit, then followed vague tracks to summit. Met very friendly/informative gamekeepers during walk. Weather; cloudy, mild, good visibility.amblerbob19/06/2018

From Brough-Teesdale road, gate and gravelly road leading to quarry. At sharp bend near quarry went diagonally up the hill by wall until it met big peaty track. Very fine summit for this part of the world(!) with a profusion of cairns. Continued to Long Crag via grousers' tracks, some with plastic mesh base.Aye Jimmy05/07/2013
Estate tracks from Brough-Teesdale road and a short hop over heather. Fine top with currick, cairns and a good viewmaknipe02/02/2013
The landowners would prefer walkers to access the summit via the short route between the top of the road at the col and the summit. Experience of this and the direct route shows their advice is worthwhile taking!moorsman16/05/2012
Second time, here w Jenx 07/03/10. From the Quarry and Fish tarn, good cold snowy day, summit top almost buried. Ditto first time MVW.nordicstar22/12/1997
