With Rhona & Struie. Parked at end of public road Glen Loy 092847. Follow track through various gates and out into open country. Basically WH route. Make up the hill at approx 061842 to ridge. Follow wall along ridge, thru minor East top, down into bealach and up to main Meall a'Phubuill summit. For descent, back to bealach and descend beside Allt Coire nan Laogh (apparently has a volcanic vent?) to regain path and back to start.DampandDusty24/03/2024
Straightforward there and back from Fassfern. It’s certainly a steep climb from the bealach above Glensuileag bothy. Clear and great views from the summit. 15km 3h50 in totalRockdoctor01/04/2023
Did whole ridge from top of Glen Loy. Good way to do it. Cut up to ridge by the woods.HardenC06/03/2023
From Fassfern with John. Minus temps at low level resulted in a very icy walk in through Glen Suileag, with a thin layer of powdery snow above 500m. It was all sun and blue skies (not much warmth from the sun though) up to the very top where a persistent cloud hid any summit views :( Took a summit selfie and returned the way we came - total time: 4h 4min.mproudfoot10/12/2022
After bagging the 2 Grahams decided to try my hand at this Corbett. Steep in the section and flattens out in the last third. Long walk back to Fassfern CP.Jhimmy24/04/2022

From Fassfern up to Glensulaig for Meall a' Phubuill returning over Meall Onfhaidh and Aodann Chleireig.rhalstead22/10/2021
From Fassfern on good track to FB at NN 029841. Steep grassy ascent. On to Meall Onfhaidh, Aodann Chleireig, Beinn an t-Sneachda - easy walking, very pleasant. Dropped down to track NN019806 - just inside the wood. Crossed Abhain Bheagaig NM999810 to soon find deer trod all way down eastern side. A ladder stile crosses the deer fence by the forest, then its a search in the woods for the track which does exist to return to CP Fassferncarole engel15/06/2021
From Fassfern. Standard route up the good track on the east side of the glen, crossing before the bothy, then straight up the south shoulder on good ground.Owen B23/05/2021

From Fassfern - nice track by river then over to Br nan Uamhachan which I now see I did before in 1999! Still nice warm sunny day for 27Km!davechaffey28/05/2017
From Fassfern. The first part of the walk is very pleasant through woods along the river, but then there’s the obligatory turbine house and a new hydro road after a couple of km. This leads to a metal bridge about 300 m downstream of Glensuilaig bothy (which is a gem), and a bulldozed track up the hill. The way up to Meall a’Phubuill looks fearsomely steep, but it’s an imposter. The ground is dry and grassy, and the going is very easy. The angle eases at some solifluction terraces, and a lochan, and you’re soon at the cairn.Gill09/04/2017

Track from Fassfern a noisy trucky mess for the first 2km and most of the way to the bothy. Another invasive hydro scheme.alda05/05/2016

From Fassfern, up trach from just before bothy ,then cut up to summit and on to the two Graham tops and dropping down to valley. Poor valley path back to bothy where I missed the bridge so had to wade. In cloud all the way along the top but rpoute not a problem.dickscroop31/12/2014

MC JC. A much better hill than anticipated. Started off from home on a very misty, dank and cold morning. Day improved to give clear skies and weak sunshine all day. Glen Loy in shade all the time with streaks of water ice on the path. Hard going up on to Druim Gleann Laoigh but very good walking along the top. Long distance views masked by a purple haze. Glorious sunset. No wind and very cold on return. Strange but beautiful smell in Glen Loy - like a very mild pipe tobacco!? Returned in the dark.Martin6608/01/2006

Solo, fr Fassfern I think. I think on this trip I'd travelled north by train, and hired a car in Fort William. This day was overcast, frosty and cold but with no snow. A dull hill but a quick walk.NorfolkPT2115/12/1995
